Does Slim Away Really Work?

Does Slim Away really work?Belly fat is one of the most embarrassing and uncomfortable things to notice about yourself, which prompts many to wonder if Slim Away could be the fix.

So many people are looking for a solution to their belly flab problems that they will try anything to get rid of it – surgery, extreme detox diets, excessive working out, or other unhealthy means to try and get rid of the weight fast without having to do much work. Enter Slim Away, a belt that covers the stomach to lengthen and squeeze it in so belly fat is less apparent, much like a corset only gender neutral.

Overview
We all, on some level, have something we want to change about ourselves. Most people have problems with their weight for one reason or another, and making that weight seem to disappear gives people a certain confidence and spring in their step that they don’t normally have. A product that can give a person that feeling will be the most popular thing to be flying off of shelves.

The Slim Away is a corset-like contraption that goes around the stomach to compress it in, making the stomach look flatter underneath clothing and in theory helping tone the body while exercising.

The Claim
Slim Away claims to help a person lose weight by constricting the water weight out of the belly, adjusting with the body as it loses this weight to continue firming and making it look more toned. With its extra back support, the Slim Away is also supposed to help those who use it with their posture, helping to make them look thinner by standing taller and being more confident in themselves.

With all these promises, the Slim Away certainly has a lot to live up to. Being a sort of weight loss product, Slim Away is something a lot of people count on to make themselves look the way they want to.

The Hype
Because the Slim Away is a body modification product, a lot of people are curious about how it works and if, in general, it will work on them. Most people who try out a product like this assume that it is going to help them lose weight for real and change their body to a shape that they want it to be without any extra effort, and this is not the case.

While Slim Away can help take off water weight, it is not a magical cure to extra weight and it will not help tone or slim you down. To get these sorts of results, a person has to actually exercise and go on a diet, because otherwise your same old routine will keep you with your same old body.

The Slim Away ad borders on ridiculously cheesy:

The Cost
Slim Away costs a slim $13 when ordered online at regular retail price, which isn’t bad considering all this product promises to help people do. But we all know that, with a low cost usually means that something was compromised in the design of a product, and this is no exception. The cost of $13 is probably double what it takes to make these considering the cheap zippers and material the belt is made out of.

The Commitment
Using the Slim Away is a commitment in and of itself. The product is tight on the body, making you slightly uncomfortable all the while wearing it. But the true commitment comes from consistently wearing this product when you are working out and when you are out and about. That way you are able to reap the full benefits of the product without regaining all the water weight each and every day. It is important that you never forget to put on the Slim Away when you are going to work out.

Evaluation
There aren’t too many people out there who can say whether or not the Slim Away is effective in helping burn out excess water weight to give you the desired results because, the fact of the matter is that the product is too shabbily made to see such results. The Slim Away fits people up to fifty inches around but at the first sign of stress the zipper breaks and can’t be repaired by any means.

People who have managed to wear it for extended periods of time complain that the product causes their skin to turn red and itchy and results were not noticeable if they did occur. Overall, the Slim Away is an ineffective product that shouldn’t be marketed as anything more than a piece of stretchy fabric.

Final Slim Away Review

The Slim Away isn’t really a product worth your time or money for trying out – the fact of the matter is that it breaks way too easily and it won’t really help you in the long run. If you want to lose weight, there are better ways to do it. Slim Away should only receive one out of five stars, if that.

Our Recommendation
If you’re serious about losing weight and looking slimmer, go to the gym more or go on a diet. This belt is not going to help you out at all. There are similar products to it that are made much better and that are rated better overall, so make sure to check those out instead.

It doesn’t matter how many times you try and evade a sensible diet and regular exercise. Until you stop chasing these overnight fixes, you’ll be disappointed again and again.

I wish I read this review before buying. I have 2 out of 3 with broken zippers. I was trying to use it while exercising to help make weight loss faster. I agree with the review they are crap.

I bought one & returned it due to zipper breaking within one day of wearing. I bought another a few months later & the same thing happened. Can’t return the second one because I don’t have the box or receipt any more. You cannot contact the company to complain or get a replacement since the site only allows you to check the status of your order. Lesson learned, I won’t buy another one!!

I have one and so far it’s doing its job. Your not supposed to pull it too tight. You have to wear it at a comfortable spot. Mine is working fine

I have had mine for a little while now. I honestly have No complaints at all. I wear mine at night and so far I have went from a size 13 to 11. I wear it at night because wearing it during the day under clothes was so uncomfortable and its bulky. I love mine!!

This is yet another product used to deceive people into thinking that they can lose weight without making the effort to change their eating habit or exercising. If you don’t follow those two guidelines you won’t achieve the results you’re looking for in the end. I question its actual effectiveness especially since Dianne and Andy had theirs break on them after wearing it once. I’m sure it could motivate you to stick to healthier eating and exercising daily but by itself you won’t get far. So don’t bother wasting your money on such an inferior product when you can get results in much better ways.
