Does the Beyond Diet Really Work?

Does the Beyond Diet work? The Beyond Diet is a gluten free meal plan and weight loss program that gets you to stop counting calories, but still promises you’ll lose weight. But can you really lose weight and still eat foods that taste good?

Gluten free foods are all the rage now, and more and more gluten free varieties of common foods are popping up in supermarkets across the country. Some people have legitimate allergies or sensitivities to gluten, others are just using the concept of gluten free eating to lose weight. The thought is that it is the gluten in wheat that leads to weight gain, and by cutting it out you will automatically shed the pounds.

The Claim
The makers of the Beyond Diet have to make some claims in order for you to get interested in the diet, and choose it over other options. They say you can eat foods that are delicious, and lose weight. They say their system is taking leading edge information and scientific findings and using them to create a program that is easy to follow and provides real results. They also refer to their community as a big tool to be used on your path to your ideal weight, and they say that you won’t yo-yo back to your original weight, and that this is something you can incorporate into your lifestyle for the long term.

The Hype
Since more and more attention is being paid to the gluten free movement, this diet seems to be capitalizing on it, either intentionally or as a welcome side benefit. It’s hard to argue that taking out gluten-filled foods will help you lose weight, because they are products that contain wheat, and are high in carbohydrates and calories.

The Cost
It’s $47 to join the Beyond Diet program. They run down the list of everything that’s included in your purchase, some of the highlights being the exact things you should and shouldn’t be eating, access to the community to ask any questions you have, and get support at any time, and a two week plan on what to eat, so you know exactly how to get started on the right foot.

The Commitment
Just like any diet or meal plan, you’ll have to put the system in place to get the results you’re after. Change can be hard, especially when it comes to food and exercise. The hardest part is often starting out, and undoing some of the bad habits you have. Most success stories involve a lot of hardship at the beginning, and those that persevere through that are rewarded on the other side. This program should give you the extra motivation to get past the start and get to the part where the results come at a faster pace.

The Beyond Diet is rater comprehensive, and if you’ve wanted to cut out the gluten but didn’t know what your weekly meal plan would look like, this is one way to find out. It also has ways to customize it, so it’s not one size fits all. Of course there are testimonials from people that say it has worked for them, just as there are for every single diet program worth its salt. These aren’t indicative of typical results, and they say as much in the fine print. What you really want to know is what the average person experiences on this diet plan.

If you do nothing else but follow their meal planning, cut out the foods that they say to cut out, and increase the foods that they say to eat more of, you will lose weight. The trick is to make the foods as delicious as you can, and also to start being more active. You should first start with the food changes, because a funny thing happens when you start dropping the pounds. You automatically have more energy and more of a drive to get up and go. A lot of dieters try to do both food changes and activity increases all at once, and this often is too much for the body to handle.

Final Beyond Diet Review

The Beyond Diet is getting our Solid Try rating if you’re looking for a new approach to an old problem. It’s also getting our Thumbs Up rating if you’ve shown that you have a sensitivity to gluten. It’s based on solid information, and sound advice, and if you stick with it and follow it to the letter you should see results. It’s up to you to stick with it over the long run, because that’s when the most results will be seen, and when things really start to get fun and exciting.

Our Recommendation
You have to be willing to try out a few different diet programs if that’s what it takes, and this is one that is worth trying out if it resonates with you. Most dieters put all of their eggs into one program and then are devastated when it doesn’t work out. The better way to approach the situation is to say to yourself that no matter how many attempt or different systems you have to try, you’ll keep at it until you find the one that works for you. With the 60 day money back guarantee on this one, it’s easy enough to give it a go and simply get a refund if you aren’t getting results.

I wonder how prevalent gluten is in our daily diet that it could actually help one lose weight by eliminating it from their daily intake. I’m sure gluten is very fattening, but is there really enough of it? Do we consume that much on a daily basis? I don’t know, but if it’s anything like corn syrup I guess it’d make sense.
