Does BSN Syntha 6 Really Work?

Rate this post

BSN Syntha 6 boasts itself as a premium whey protein and lauds its great taste. If you’ve been in the whey protein game for a while now, you’ve no doubt swallowed – or tried to swallow – your fair share of disgusting protein shakes. It’s commonly understood that assisting your workouts with extra protein, amino acids, and other muscle fuel will help them get bigger and leaner in a shorter time span. So how well does this shake deliver?

Overview
If something doesn’t taste good, you’re probably not going to stick with it for long. But that’s exactly what you need to do when you’re working out and looking for a way to upgrade your results. Many a workout program has met its early end because people didn’t have a reliable and good-tasting protein shake to fall back on. Eventually the body says “no mas” to chalky, off-tasting shakes, and then you rationalize not going to the gym because there’s no good way to recover.

The Claim
They say that this is an ultra-premium whey protein that has a sustained release, so that it keeps working long after you drink it to keep providing your muscles the building blocks they need to repair and grow.

They claim it works to help enhance and grow your muscles, as well as help you recover from an intense workout. In addition, they say it can also help with your weight management, providing nutrition and serving as a substitute for snacks or even a meal. While many protein shakes make this claim, few talk so highly about their taste, and the ones that do usually have people contradicting these claims in the reviews of the product.

The Hype
The entire whey protein industry takes criticism from some people saying it’s all a big waste of money, and that they don’t really do anything to help with your workouts or post workout recovery. Perhaps a decade ago that might have been true, but these days they’ve come a long way, with companies treating it like a pharmaceutical drug, running tests, upgrading formulas, and staying on the cusp of technological developments. Or so they’d have you believe.

The Cost
It’s $30 for a 3 pound supply of

BSN Syntha 6. This should last you a month if you take one serving per day, or as little as 2 weeks if you’re taking two a day. One strategy would be to just take it when you work out, or you could double up and take it once when you work out, and again when you are having food cravings or need to replace a meal or snack. Even at 2 servings a day, $60 a month isn’t bad for a complete solution.

The Commitment
Since you can use this before, during, or after your workout, or take it at any time of the day, it’s very versatile and is more convenient then trying to remember when you’re supposed to drink it. Some products out there are specifically pre-workout, or post-workout, so it’s nice that they’ve made this so it can be taken whenever you want.

Evaluation
BSN Syntha 6 is one of the highest-reviewed whey proteins we’ve seen. There are hundreds of people that give it a glowing review. The majority of the compliments it gets is on its taste, although there are plenty of people that comment on the results it provides as well. There’s really no way to argue with the data. There are such sparse negative reviews that you can chalk them up as anomalies and are just people that wouldn’t be happy with any protein shake.

Running the numbers on this there is a 9 out of 10 chance that you’re going to like the way this tastes, and if you complete a proper workout around it then you should see results. They can make it taste as good as they want, but if you’re not combining this with intense weight lifting sessions, you’re not going to see the sort of results you want. Your best bet is going with a protein shake that has the highest chance of tasting good and working on your muscle tone.

Final BSN Syntha 6 Review

BSN Syntha 6 hits the right notes, and is what you think about when you imagine the way a whey protein shake should be like. There aren’t many competing shakes that come close to the volume of positive reviews this gets, and this gives it a sort of social credential, better than all of the testing and studies that have been done on it. The overall consensus: Tastes great, does what it says, and produces results.

But don’t think that it will work this magic unless you get to work in the gym or using an at-home fitness program like the Supreme 90 Workout. When you combine the results you’d get even if you didn’t use a supplement, but then use something effective like Syntha 6, you are going to maximize the time spent working out, so you get the most out of it.

Our Recommendation
If you’re looking for a nice recovery formula to feed your muscles after a workout, this seems to fit the bill nicely. The great part is that even though it’s billed as ultra-premium, it doesn’t have an ultra-premium price. If you’re looking for a pre-workout way to get pumped up, consider something like Cellucor C4, that way you’ve got your pre and post-workout supplementation handled, now it’s just up to you smashing it in the gym.

What do you think? Does BSN Syntha 6 work or not?

  • I don't have scientific data to back my claim, but for me protein drinks definitely do the job. I started lifting weight about 2 months ago and in the first month I lifted without any supplement and I always felt very tired after 2 hours of workout. There were also days when I felt too tired to lift after a long day's work, but after I started drinking protein drinks things started to change. I felt more energized before and after workout and it's been the same way for the past month. The only thing is the taste of the protein shake I'm drinking right now, it's really awful. Some people at my gym told me about BSN Syntha 6 and they say it actually tastes pretty good. I know they work, so I'm going to give this a try for the taste.
