Does Campaigner Really Work?

Does it realy work?

Does Campaigner work?Campaigner is an email marketing service that says it can give you emails that look like the pros, even if you’re just getting started. They have the same basic features as their competition, but try to distance themselves with added features like email templates and customer support, even during the free trial. But are they as good as some of the big names out there, and should you give them a try?

Email marketing has been around since emailing, basically, and is something that can be really annoying to your subscribers if done incorrectly, or can be a valuable tool for your business. People hate getting inundated with mass emails, and most people are savvy enough to know when you’ve sent a personal email, or have sent it out to a large group. The art is making a mass email seem like it’s meant for the individual. If you can do that, you’ll get a good response rate, and your calls to action will be more effective.

The Claim
Campaigner says that they have over 500 different email templates for you to choose from, so you can really wow your subscribers, and differentiate yourself from less professional companies out there. They also claim that their email builder will let you craft your own style, and let you tweak it as you see fit. They also say that their analytics will allow to have a better idea of how your campaign is doing, which will help you make adjustments and changes so you can perfect your delivery and make more money more efficiently.

The Hype
Just about everything that is related to Internet Marketing gets its fair share of hype. We’re basically talking about something that could be considered spam if done incorrectly, so it’s a good idea not to get too carried away by some of the claims that these companies make, and realize that you will have to play a big part in success of your campaigns. But having the right tools does make it easier.

The Cost
Campaigner has four different price points, and their most basic service is $10 a month. This allows you to send unlimited messages to up to 1000 email address. If you are effective in your marketing efforts, you’ll surpass this limit at some point, and you’ll want to go with one of their larger packages. The biggest one they offer is $55 per month which allows you to send to up to 10,000 addresses. When you compare their rates to other services, they are a lower cost option in most cases.

Proper Email Management
When you run your email campaign, you need to have a goal in mind and then trace your steps back from that goal to the present moment so you know how to start. You have to put yourself into this if you want to see the most results for your time and money spent. If you’re just starting out, you’ll have to be the one to do all of the steps, but this is something that you can delegate as your business grows. At no point would we recommend letting this go totally hands-free, as you’ll want to be the one that keeps the vision for where your company is headed, and the voice it uses.

Users of the Campaigner service have noted that it is a good time saver, because they have several templates to choose from so you’re not starting from scratch with every email you send. They also note that it gives you a good idea of how your messages are being received, even shows you how many of your emails are getting opened. Because it’s easy to craft an email, they have said that you can send more emails out, with better information because you’re spending more time brainstorming and researching and less time worrying how to make it look good.

The $10 price point has also been brought up as an attractive way for newbies to get their feet wet in the email marketing game. And really, your income should go up as your list grows, so you shouldn’t ever have to worry about upgrading the service, because it should be paying for itself. That’s the whole point of all of this, right?

Final Campaigner Review

Campaigner is a solid service to start out with, and with the 30 day trial you can cancel before you get charged and not pay anything to see if you like it. For these trial offers we always say you should have a detailed plan in mind and develop a campaign especially for the trial run. Get everything ready before signing up so you have the full month to test, tweak, and retest, and if things go well you should easily generate the $10 needed to keep things going for another month.

Our Recommendation
Switching email marketing services is rather easy, so you don’t have to worry too much about making a mistake here. It’s all about trying them out and seeing which ones jives with your style the most. One of the most popular email marketing services out there is iContact, and many people have confirmed that this has been vital to the success of their business. It’s similarly priced to Campaigner, and is perhaps a little more developed as far as their business structure goes, and you can get started with their free trial without needing a credit card. We like that.

I used aweber before but it’s really limited to what you can do with it unless you have experience in design or you’re willing to spend lots of money on freelacers who work to customize your optin box and email templates. If this comes with 500 templates, you gotta believe at least a few of them will work nicely with your niche. Plus it’s got a 30 day trial system so I can just test drive it and get rid of it if I don’t like it. It sounds good to me.
