Does Dish Egg Really Work?

Does the Dish Egg Work? Most of us pay a lot of money for the cleaning products that we use around our home. Some are well worth the investment while others are not. For those miscellaneous scrubbing jobs that you are always faced with perhaps the Dish Egg will become a valuable resource to you.

Dish Egg is a silicone sponge that is meant to revolutionize many of the cleaning and scrubbing tasks that you are faced with on a daily basis. There are tons of products that are already available to you to perform the same task but a lot of them have their down side to them. The Dish Egg has been designed to reduce all of the negatives that often come with scrubbers.

The Claim
The promoters of Dish Egg claim that there are two sides to their cleaner. One side is comprised of super scrubbers while the other side is soft. Yet the entire scrubber is made from silicone.

The Hype
The hype is all focusing on the fact that your Dish Egg will not be accumulating the bacteria that many other types of scrubbers and sponges do. They also focus on that it is really versatile in what it can clean. They indicate that it safe to use on all your dishware and pots and pans. At the same time it is safe and effective for scouring surfaces like your counters, bathtubs and sinks.

The Cost
You will be expected to pay $10. plus $5.99 shipping and handling. For this you will get two Dish Eggs. If you pay an extra $5.99 you will get a second set free.

The Commitment
There is no extra commitment that is needed for using the Dish Egg. You most likely have to do all of the chores that the Dish Egg has been designed to help you with anyway.

One of the biggest problems with many scrubbers is that they wear out so quick. This is even true of the good ones. With the Dish Egg being made of silicone this is not likely to be such a big issue. The only hesitation would be is how effective is the silicone going to be at removing some of the baked on components on the kitchen ware? At the same time you don’t want to use anything too harsh that could damage these items. With the proper pre-soaking most likely the Dish Egg will be able to perform well.

Final Dish Egg Review

We are going to give the Dish Egg a Try/Buy rating. It is a new product so there isn’t much feedback to rely on as yet. The shipping price seems a little hefty but when you compare the total price to scrubbers that are fairly expensive yet still wear out quickly then overall the total price is fairly reasonable.

Our Recommendation
We prefer to see a scrubby made of material such as silicone rather than steel wool. There is always a risk that a sliver of the steel wool can break off and get lodged in your hand or fingers which can be really painful. We also like the fact that there should be less bacteria collecting in the Dish Egg. We realize that scrubbies are an important item to have around the home and we reviewed another type which is the Scrub Daddy which you may want to check out.
