EverBrite works great when I walk close to it. It comes on high then after 20 seconds or so it goes to half power and stays there till morning when the battery is then dead because it stays on half power. I does not turn off once it is activated.
They do not last. They quit working within a couple of months after installation. They were installed on the south side of a pool cage in Florida, so they were receiving plenty of sunlight.
I have three of them and I love them. I have them on the stairs to supplement the outdoor light we have, because my husband goes to work when its dark out and I want him to be safe. These light up the stairs perfectly.
I have one on my back stairs that doesn't work quite as well, but I think that's because the area is too shaded. They are very specific that you must have it in a place that gets lots and lots of sunlight.
Purchased 2 for my RV/Toyhauler. Purchased them in December.
Worked great for about 5 months then the motion sensors stopped working. They still come on at night.
