If you’ve ever struggled trying to get rid of your nail fungus you know how hard it is to find a product that actually works, and what a waste of time lousy products can be. So does this one do the trick?

A Common Condition

Nail fungus, also known as onychomycosis, is a common condition that affects many people.

Nail fungus can also affect the skin on your feet and in between your toes, this is known as athlete’s foot, the medical term is tinea pedis.

Nail fungus can be very annoying and unpleasant to look at. Finding the right product to take care of nail fungus is important. Kerasal Nail Fungal Nail Renewal Treatment could be a good option.

What is Nail Fungus?

Nail fungus

Nail fungus is caused by various fungal organisms referred to as fungi. Dermatophyte is the most common type of nail fungus, however yeast and molds can also cause nail infections.

This condition can affect people at any age, however, it is more common in older adults. When finger and toenails age, they become more brittle and dry which results in nail cracking leaving them susceptible for fungi to enter the nail.

Poor blood circulation and a reduced immune system can also play a role in contracting nail fungus.

What are the Risk Factors of Nail Fungus?

Risk for nail fungus

There are many factors that can increase your risk of contracting nail fungus such as:

  • Heavy sweating
  • Athlete’s foot history
  • Psoriasis
  • Injury to the nail or surrounding skin
  • Diabetes
  • Circulation problems
  • Weakened immune system
  • Age
  • Walking barefoot in common and public areas

It is essential that you keep both your fingernails and toenails clean and well-groomed as this may reduce your risks.

What are the Complications of Nail Fungus?

Infection

In severe cases of nail fungus you will experience pain and permanent damage to your nails can happen. There is also a risk of nail fungus leading to other serious infections especially if you have a weakened immune system, diabetes or other medical conditions. For people with diabetes, nail fungus can lead to cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection.

How Can I Prevent Nail Fungus?

To help prevent nail fungus, athlete’s foot and reinfections of both, you should:

  • Trim nails straight across with disinfected nail trimmers, file rough edges with disinfected nail file, file down thickened areas with disinfected nail file.
  • Wash your hands and feet regularly especially after touching an infected nail and moisture nails
  • Choose breathable material shoes
  • Always wear footwear in pool areas and public locker rooms and showers
  • Change your socks throughout the day or wear sweat absorbing socks

  1. Dear Sir or Madam: I understand you are trying to promote a product, however you should think before you commit to this type of commercial, because there are children and adults in this world that have been born without arms. They use their feet to do everything because prosthetics is NOT an option to them. If you watch the Shriners commercial, there is a young man that has NO ARMS and uses his feet to things in his everyday life…So think about it…and pull the commercial..rethink it…and put another for of advertising to promote your product…Thank You..

  2. I think the t v commercial about this product is very offensive that shows feet where the hands are suppose to be. Especially when the following commercial is about childten with birth defects and Shriners Hospitals. Whoever developed this should be shamed.

  3. It worked for me. Takes a while. I went through most of two tubes of the stuff before it all cleared up the fungus. Got to be diligent ot put it on daily.

The fungus turns dark charcoal color and the nails turn pink gradeually as the new nail grows in and the old infected parts move outward, where you can trim them off.

After clearing up both sets of toenails, I had one small nail reinfected, but that is now almost ready to trim off the last of the bad stuff.

So, yeah, it works but you have to keep after it.

  4. Andrew, you don’t know what you’re talking about. I have used Kersal for two weeks, and have seen an enormous difference in the thickness of my nails. The thickness is now normal.
I do agree it will take new nail growth to get rid of the discoloration completely.
See how easy it was to say this nicely, instead of calling people names?

  5. I been using Kerasal nail for about two weeks and slowly beginning to see a bit of improvement. Every two days I file my nails removing to the point that hardly any nail left. I hope this new medication give me positive results which I am fed up with numerous other over the counter for so many years, but instead gotten worse. Lamisil sucks.

  6. I’m afraid r same it’s happening to me. It worked for a few months, almost a year, but now I use it but it doesn’t seem to be working anymore. I thought it was because I slacked off and did not apply it every night and I skipped on an old pair of shoes without socks. I’m not sure now. Maybe the formula had changed our the fungus mutated and built a resistance. I hope it’s the former and not the latter. Although the latter would not surprise me the way bacteria and viruses, and insects too, are growing resistant to everything and are overpopulating.

  7. I came across this in Target for $18.99. I immediately googled reviews. The majority had positive results. My natural remedies were not working, like ACV and Listerine and tea tree oil, etc. I also do not have insurance for a prescription oral medication, which I hear have their own side effects.

I was impressed after the first week. On both big toes I would say half the nail was consumed by fungus under the nail. It was so bad that I had ingrown toenail issues quite often. I stopped going to get pedicures, which I believe caused or exaggerated this whole issue, and improved my overall health by eating better, taking vitamins and supplements, exercising, quitting alcohol.

This in conjunction with Kerasal worked for me. It’s been about 7 or 8 months and I’m waiting for the final tip of the nail to grow out. Previously, the nail would grow out but the fungus was spreading deeper into the nail bed so it never really got clear. Now I’m very happy with my results.

I definitely applied more than a thin layer. And I also applied at night and sometimes in the morning if I was wearing sandals or new my nails would fry in time to put in shoes. You have to been consistent and keep your feet clean and dry. I washed my feet after work or wearing shoes, then reapplied Kerasal if I knew I would be in for the evening wearing sandals. So a shower morning and night plus afternoon for wash is three times a day. Imagine if we washed our feet like they were our hands! You should also clean under the nail well so that the treatment can penetrate. Someone mentioned using a syringe to make sure it gets under the nail well.

I said I’m almost 100% better but I had some set backs. I stopped applying every single night and on one nail the fungus is starting to creep back down the nail. I also think I wore an old pair of shoes without socks. Wash or get rid of the old shoes. Someone said freezing the shoes work too. Don’t do what I did. Stick to sandals if you can. I did and I didn’t care if my nails looked yucky to people because covering them up was the problem from the start.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone with nail fungus. What have you got to lose? $20? I don’t know how, but it works. Just try it!

  8. I believe this- Andrew is right. How many people are making false statements is incredible. I have bought the stuff &the gel) and nothing whatsoever after 2 weeks. If it turns out it does SOMETHING Ill come back with the news of the miracle healer. Don’t hold your breath…
