Does Meladerm Really Work?

Rate this post

Meladerm is a skin lightening line of products that is supposed to be able to lessen the appearance of dark spots, scars, and other discolorations of the skin, safely and effectively. If you have an uneven skin tone or other skin issues that you want to take care of, this would catch your eye, but how well does it actually work?

Overview
It’s good to strive to be your best, and if you have hang-ups about the way your skin looks, either because of freckles, discoloration, or other spots, it can be a real confidence boost to get those taken care of. At the same time you don’t want to jeopardize the health of your skin, or your overall well-being in an attempt to fix those imperfections. That’s why a product like this has such a strong appeal, as it says it can solve the problem without creating another.

The Claim
Some of the claims made by Meladerm include it being steroid-free and paraben-free, which is a definite plus. They say it is using safe ingredients that have been proven over the years to help with different skin conditions. They say that it can be used for a host of different skin problems, like liver spots and sun spots, general sun damage, birthmarks, scars you’ve had for years, darkening of the elbows, knees and other joints, as well as marks left behind by acne.

The Hype
Getting an even complexion seems to be getting more and more popular, and several products have emerged in recent years all saying that you can get rid of dark spots, blemishes, and scarring so that your skin looks more uniform in appearance. Since almost everyone on the planet has an imperfection of some sort on their body, this has a potentially universal appeal if they can just convince enough people that flawless skin should be the standard to reach for.

The Cost
The cost varies depending on which Meladerm product you go with. For example, you can get their Face Toner for $15. But their flagship product, the one that gets most of the attention, goes for $50. This may seem pricey at first, but when you compare it to

competing skin lighteners it’s is pretty on point. The ingredients it contains justifies a higher price tag, and you really don’t want to bargain shop when looking at a product you’re going to rub into your skin. You want it to contain quality ingredients, and that appears to be the case here.

The Commitment
They suggest adding this to your morning and nightly routines to get the best results. This makes it easy to remember, since most of us start and end the day with some sort of skin care regimen. You simply wash and dry the skin, and then rub this into the places you want to see changes. The real commitment is not the daily routine, but rather the 2-3 months they say it takes to see the best results. You have to get into the proper mindset to see this through.

Evaluation
The ingredients in Meladerm suggest that it would be effective at what it’s claiming to be able to do. They’re not using hydroquinone, which is a good thing since it’s a substance that it banned in several countries, and was the skin whitening agent used for years in products like these. To be able to replicate the same sort of results without using harmful chemicals is pretty impressive. We recommend using a high-quality exfoliating scrub like they suggest in order to see more short-term results.

The feedback we’re seeing on this is somewhat mixed, with many users saying it worked, but they had to be patient, and others saying it didn’t work after diligently following the directions for several months. It’s not surprising, since there are so many different problems that people have with their skin, and there’s too much room for user error and inconsistency.

It’s interesting to note that they include the bad reviews along with the testimonials on their website. Many times a company will only post the 5 star reviews left for its product, but Civant is showing it’s dirty laundry by showing the 1 and 2 star reviews as well. This makes sense because of course not everyone is going to respond well to their product, but they are showing that the larger majority of users are having a good experience.

Final Meladerm Review

Meladerm is getting our Solid Try rating. There is simply too much corroborating evidence that it works, and that the majority of users are happy with their experience. With a product like this you’re bound to see some negative reports, because it works gradually and requires that you get religious about the application process. Some users won’t be able to stick to that sort of regimen. You have to really have a strong desire to get rid of those dark spots in order to remember to use it each day, and to stick with it through the long term.

Our Recommendation
We did notice that even those that said it wasn’t able to lighten their dark spots, it did make for a good moisturizer and skin cream, with no harmful side effects. This seems like a great product to try out for yourself and see the results you get. Since there is such a variation in skin types, the best you can do is see how it works for your specific situation.

What do you think? Does Meladerm work or not?

  • I think Meladerm is worth a try...You just can't beat something that is naturally made & has some great reviews!

  • My friend tells me I have uneven skin tone because of my messed up diet and I think she might have a point there. Disappointingly though there's nothing that I can do at the moment to change my diet and I have to settle for the foods I get nearby the restaurant where I work and at home. I guess it's a temporary fix, but meladerm will have to do and hopefully it will make a difference.
