Overview
The lure of a quick buck is enough to make most people pay attention and listen to someone they perceive as having specialized knowledge, a secret of success, or a system that shows them how to make lots of money with little work. Call it greed, the human condition, or the fast-paced Information Age we live in which makes it all possible, the draw is almost irresistible. Many times a marketer doesn’t have to provide any proof, just tell a believable story and there will be those that listen. In the case of Project Payday it’s a 10-page pitch that you have to make it through.
The Claim
The individual behind Project Payday says that 13 of his 14 test students, all “Average Joes” with no prior experience – made between $200 and $2,500 in their first month. He then goes on to guarantee the results. He says that you can make $44 to $154 every time you have a spare 1-2 hours, and that you can start making money today. None of these claims are actually much different from any other money making site out there.
The Hype
The hype is that everyone is asking whether or not this is a scam. This means that people have taken this site seriously enough to ask more about it. If something totally looks like a scam people don’t ask this question, they just run away from it. By creating the debate of whether or not this is a scam, they must be doing something right to create that seed of doubt in potential buyers.
The Cost
They say that there’s no out of pocket cost, but you know there’s got to be some sort of catch, or they wouldn’t bother being in business.
The Commitment
Even though they say that all of this is very easy, and hands-off and auto-pilot, you’ve got to do something, even if it means learning how to do what it is they tell you to do in order to make the money. They guarantee the results, but you can bet that without taking any action, you won’t make much money. The biggest fallacy about making money online is that you can sit around in your underpants at your kitchen table and make a killing. The pros are working hard, and having other people work hard for them, so if you want to compete you better show up.
Evaluation
Project Payday seems like it is just a gateway for you to sign up with miscellaneous offers. They no doubt get a cut from anything you end up buying or trying by signing up with them. Of course it’s free to sign up, and there might even be some profit potential in some of the programs they send your way for perusal, but if your attitude is that you’re just going to sit back and watch the cash roll in, you’ll likely spend a lot of money on trials and have nothing to show for it.
By signing up for Project Payday, you’re what’s known as a “warm lead” in the business. This means that they know you’re interested in making money quickly and without doing anything for it. They can figure out a lot about you, and they know just what sort of offers to send your way in order to get you to try them out. You may be able to sign up for free, but all you’re really signing up for is an influx of offers that basically amounts to spam you’ve agreed to receive.
So Is It a Scam?
A scam, be definition is where they’re trying to defraud you by taking your money and providing something of little or no value. We can’t say that the information they provide, and the offers they send are worthless, since a lot of whether it’s effective at making money depends on you.
We can’t really say that Project Payday works or doesn’t work, because we can’t figure out exactly what it is people think it does. To the question of whether or not you’ll be able to get a part time or full time payday from the offers they send you, probably not. But they will send you offers if you sign up, so in that respect their service works. However, it doesn’t appear that a lot of analysis or thought went into what they send you, and they are basically throwing the spaghetti on the wall and seeing what sticks.
Our Recommendation
If you’re serious about making money online, do what the real entrepreneurs do. Start your own website, monetize it, work hard on it for a long period of time, and one day you will have it set up so that it makes money automatically, with little involvement from you, unless you choose to stay involved in it.

I love how some of these sites can think they can just put random figures on there and pull people in - surely people aren't stupid enough to think they can make thousands of dollars doing nothing?!?
The average user makes $200-$2500 a month according to this site - that's quite a difference there! Not very average results if you ask me!
