Overview
Skin tags have been getting a lot of attention lately because they’re one skin affliction that can be handled on your own from home. It’s good to have them checked out by a dermatologist first before embarking on a removal quest, just to be sure. Most times they are harmless and can be removed without worry, but you just want to be sure.
The Claim
The makers of Tag Arrest claim that this is a painless process to remove your skin tags, and that it doesn’t require any burning or freezing of the skin. They go on to say that it contains only natural ingredients, and that they’re botanical ingredients, so you aren’t using any harsh chemicals that you’d have to be concerned about.
The Hype
There are several skin tag removal products on the market, all vying for the same consumer base. Skin tags are a pretty common problem, and most people want to get rid of them, but don’t want to have to visit the doctor to do so.
The Cost
The total cost including shipping comes to $30, and that gets you 2 bottles of Tag Arrest. They give you 30 days to try it out, which should be enough time to see if this works on your skin tags or not. They give you enough product to handle several skin tags, and it’s also nice to have some left over because skin tags can pop up again in the future, and that way you’ll have a supply handy. It would be nice if they would bump back the guarantee to 60 days, since it could take that long to see the sort of results that would make you want to keep it.
The Commitment
This isn’t an instant treatment where you get results right away. You’ll have to stick to applying this again and again until your skin tag eventually shrivels up and goes away. That’s the trade off you make here, since there’s no pain you have to wait it out. If you want something more instant you can have them removed by your dermatologist. It will hurt a bit, but not that much, and of course you’d be committing to paying more to have them removed.
Evaluation
Tag Arrest is using an ingredient called thuja occidentalis, which has been known to be a home remedy for repairing skin lesions and diseases. They say it’s a homeopathic remedy, so you won’t be getting this in high concentrations, which should help prevent any unwanted side effects. Products that have a higher concentration might cause burning of the skin, and could even lead to their own scarring, so you have to be careful with them. A product like this means you have some room for error and don’t have to be exact when you apply it.
There are plenty of ways to remove a skin tag, and of course some work better than others. The main thing you want to do is prevent scarring, and the best way to do that is to gradually remove the skin tag so that it falls of and leaves no trace behind. You can do that with a product like this that goes to work slowly, or by cutting off the blood supply to the skin tag, at which point it will eventually succumb and fall off on its own. Some people clip them off with sanitized nail clippers or cut them off with sanitized nail scissors. It’s really up to you, but be sure to get them looked at by your doctor before choosing a method.
Tag Arrest gets our Solid Try rating, and holds its own against products like Tag Away
and ElimiTag. Getting two bottles for $30 is not a bad deal, and is on par with the other products you can buy that make the same claims. If you have the patience to wait for it to work, this is a good way to go, but if you’re looking to have them gone by a certain date or time, you may want to consider faster options. Our Recommendation
One possible faster option is Dermatend, which has been getting tons of thumbs up on its ability to handle skin tags. It’s also faster acting, so you don’t have to wait for weeks to have it removed. This is a product that you have to be exact with, and make sure that when you apply it you only get it on the skin tag. It’s good to have someone help you if it’s in a hard to reach spot.

I tried Tag Arrest and was very pleased with the results. I had a couple of tags under my arm and was avoiding wearing sleeveless tops because of the tags. I followed the instructions and everything worked fine. I actually needed my daughter to help me since the tags were in an awkward spot. I tend to be on the cautious side with products like this, but I do recommend the Tag Arrest. When I ordered I received two bottles. I was able to give one bottle to a friend who had skin tags on her neck. What a difference it has made for her!
I thought the name on the bottle, thuja occidentalis, seemed familiar! We recently bought two thuja occidentalis plants. Interesting to know that they are used in homeopathic medicine to help with skin problems. I have a small skin tag that sometimes gets irritated, and I never really gave much thought to getting it removed. However, it's good to see that there are natural ways to remove skin tags, and that they work well. Since I never really thought about getting it removed before, I'm definitely not in a rush for it to be gone and therefore don't mind a natural product that takes longer to work.
I'm open to giving it a try for as long as it's a homeopathic remedy. I've tried a similar product in the past and it did help remove the tag, but in return I got a real bad case of skin rashes and I'm kind of afraid of using these things. But seeing as how my girlfriend is ready to vomit every time she sees the couple of tags I've got under my armpit, I don't think I have much choice here.
