Acne free is an excellent product for clearing face acne, however like a lot of people on most review don’t like the product. At first, I did not like it too, the first time I started using the product my face was in worse situation. I was burning all over my face not forgetting that by then I was working at a warehouse where the temperatures were always high, I did not feel good all the time because when it was hot my face was mostly burning and the worst this was if you use water to wash your face thinking it will cool off it would have worsened the situation to the point I could not even touched my face.
So, I immediately stopped using the product for two weeks from that point, I then consulted my friends and according to them my face was reacting to benzoyl peroxide that is one of the product active ingredients of which I was to use only one treatment a day, I then tried on using the product only once a day in the evening before bed to avoid unnecessary sun exposure, and i used sunscreen gel during the day. This never worked for me as well I still had acne after I stopped however the redness went away. Good news is that when the redness went away after a couple of weeks it hid some of my black spots.
After weeks of dissatisfaction on this product I tried using proactive which had Sulphur that was also reactive to my skin, I then bought acne free because of its affordable price at Walmart but this time I was advised to use all the three step all together for it to work. Step one which has purifying cleanser with advanced micro-benzoyl peroxide, water, glycerin, propylene glycol, that I used every morning and evening. Applied a dime-size amount to damp skin and gently massaged and rinsed completely.
Step two, which had renewing toner with good skin balancing formula that had water, alcohol 40, glycolic acid, sodium hydroxide that I used every morning and evening, after cleansing I did apply to my entire face with a cotton pad and did not rinse.
Step three which is the last step; therefore, was the lotion repair that continuously release benzoyl peroxide that is mainly for acne treatment, this lotion I used every morning and evening too, I did apply to my entire face, avoiding the eye area and did not rinse too.
To conclude, I became a popular advocate for this product, this was the only product that cleared up all my acne with a period of six months, all you must do is to follow all the three steps of using renewing toner, oil-free purifying cleanser and repair lotion appropriately. if this product is not working for you, you might have some issues with benzoyl like I did and must follow all the steps, have breaks and try using the product again. My face is so perfect that I don’t need any make- up to look pretty. Try acne free for your face this the cheapest product with easy step and work perfectly with skin.

I have had terribly acne on my back since the onset of adolescence. I have tried everything from a change of diet to harsh creams to get rid of it. I even cut off my long hair in the belief that it was making it worse! I recent;y tried acne-free, having read some of the wonderful testimonials here and was very optimistic. However, I have to report that after three weeks of use, there is what can only be described as a very slight reduction in the redness of the spots that are there, and no change in the arrival of new spots. I wish I could report better news, because I am sick of acne. So far the only real impact was from a six month course of doctor prescribed antibiotics.
Having used their products on and off for the past few years I must must say it works quite well to say the least. This is coming from someone who's used several different products to eradicate my acne problems. I've tried Acutane which just made my acne even worse than before while making me incredibly depressed.
While others only gave me temporary relief but ended up returning within days of application. Even ProActiv let me down! While it is similar to ProActiv it at least gives you better results. I really liked their foam system the best but unfortunately it got discontinued so I can't find them anymore. But it seems like most of their products follow a 3 step system.
Now I'm using their sensitive formula which is basically the same as their original product but it doesn't have the Benzoyl Peroxide and uses fruit extracts instead. They even have a set for those with several acne too.
I would definitely recommend trying out their "sensitive" and "severe" acne products instead of just the original for better results. Especially if you are allergic or can't handle Benzoyl Peroxide at all.
I have had terrible acne for the past three years. The Acne Free treatment is the ONLY thing that has ever worked. I have friends that I have recommended it too, however their skin condition isn't as oily as mine and it made their face extremely dry, almost worse. I think Acne Free only works 100% if your skin is extremely oily! I even had nodules and cystic acne as determined by two dermatologists. Both of which it is said can only be treated by certain medications that are not over the counter; however, Acne Free DID CLEAR all of that up with persistent use. I have been using it for three months and if used twice a day it NEVER breaks out. I also do not use cheap makeup, I have always used Clinique hypoallergenic makeup and the two combined seem to be a perfect system for me. Again, because of the effects it had on some of my friends, I do NOT recommend this to anyone that does not have severe oily skin! And after using the product for about a month and half I reduced the toner to once a day or once every other day depending on the sensitivity at that time. I always use step one and three. I think it is important to say I live in a HIGH humidity area which makes individuals more prone to acne flare ups. Overall I think this product is UH-MAZ-ING!
I used this product as a teen and loved it! I had bad acne that wouldn't go away with simple face washes. I tried several acne products, including prescription acne medications, and this system worked just as well as the prescription creams. It's true that it won't give you immediate results, but I've seriously never experienced immediate results with any treatment I've tried.
Hailey: I also experienced some irritation while using this product, but what helped was to start out slowly, using it every other day, until your skin gets used to the product.
In all, I think this product is great and a cheaper yet effective alternative to Proactive.
Well I just started using this product 2 days ago and I'm seeing a BIG difference!! My skin is always left really smooth, and it's clearing up my acne! I love it!
while using this product although it does work you have to be careful because it consists of benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid & those are a bad combo & can irritate & dry out the skin badly. you can get red itchy dry patchy skin & it's just awful sometimes it's not as bad maybe a little reaction but it still won't be a permanent thing & it might even double your acne problem if not your pimples will only disappear for a little while if you're that desperate for a quick blemish relief after the side effects (red itchy dry patchy skin) then go ahead i'm not going to lie i did it & it felt great not to think about pimples but they come back so fast it's ridiculous honestly you really shouldn't waste your money i'm sure you can find a better product.
i started using this product 2 weeks ago. i quit after 3 days. i had a severe allergic reaction. over a week after stopping this product, my face is still bright red and severely dry (to the point that I am having to use lotion on my face every 30mins). I even used the sensitive formula. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Well Acne Free sounds good, I have tried almost everything, I guess is worth to give it a shot. Thank you very much for this information, I´ll definitely try first to see if I´m not allergic, but I´m usually not, I´ve used Benzoyl Peroxide products before.
