Overview
It’s easy to see the lure of cake pops, it’s the yumminess of cake in bite size form and on a stick, so you don’t get messy and don’t need a knife and fork. For the creative types out there this is a chance to showcase your cake decorating skills, as most designs that can be done on a cake, can be done on cake pops – and more. But it all starts with a good cake pop maker, because no matter how pretty they are, if they don’t taste right you won’t get the nod of approval from the fam.
The Claim
The Babycakes Cake Pop Maker says that you’ll get a dozen cake pops at a time, cooked to perfection. They’ve gone with a George Foreman Grill concept here, and the theory is that by cooking both sides at once you’ll be able to shorten the baking time, and avoid having to heat up the oven, and therefore your whole kitchen, just to make a simple dessert.
The Hype
They’ve definitely gone for some cute style points with the color scheme on this one, but the real hype comes from people saying it really works at making great tasting cake pops.
The Cost
Another attraction to the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker is the price. You can get it for under $30, and they even have accessories for it. For example, you can get a special chocolate dipper for the pops that you create, so you can make chocolate covered cake pops, which takes things to a whole new level, deliciously speaking.
The Commitment
You should be spending less time making your cake pops, and hence more time enjoying
Evaluation
With the included recipe book, you won’t have any trouble coming up with ideas of what to make, and they even give you pointers on how to decorate and present your concoctions. This means you can use them for entertaining and special events if you make them look really nice. Or you can just stick with plain old icing and gobble them up with your family for a fun treat. If you’ve got a big family you might wish that you could make more than a dozen at once, but hey, you can build patience at the same time as you wait for the next batch to finish.
Recipes and More
The great thing about going with Babycakes over competing brands is that you can visit their website any time you want for recipes, and tips on how to get the most out of it. With recipes for things like Lemon Pops, Maraschino Cherry, and even Cherry Vodka cake pops, you know you’ll never be hard pressed to find something new to try out, and debut. They even provide a forum for users to post their own recipes, opening the doors for an unlimited number of interesting edibles.
The Babycakes Cake Pop Maker earns our seal of approval. Not only will you be able to make your own cake pops at home, thus avoiding the high prices of buying them pre-made, but you can actually build up your skills as you go along and make it something of a hobby if you so choose. Because it is still a pretty unique dessert option, you can even impress your friends at a party, or win some new ones over at work with the things you create.
The Babycakes brand has a very sharp focus on making fun desserts. They also have a mini donut maker, a mini waffle maker, a cupcake maker, and a waffle stick maker. It seems their goal is to have your household filled with tons of desserts that are out of the ordinary. We’d start with their cake pop maker first though, because it is versatile in that it can also make doughnut holes if you just change the batter recipe.

are there machine to make different size cake pops? & which r the best?
I agree. However I might put in that to save lots of money you can have used pine instead.
Only $30 for a Babycakes Cake Pop Maker sounds like such a great deal. My Hubs and I first tried these at our local Starbucks and we haven't stopped buying them since. My husband is a bigger fan then I am and we are slowly finding that the little price tag on them starts to add up after a while. Being able to make our own cake pops sounds like a money saver tactic that I'd be willing to try. I have purchased the Whoopie Pie maker in the past and had no complaints. Similar to a pancake or waffle maker, gadgets like this eliminate the hassle of pans.
This one makes the most cake pops at once from all the models I reviewed so far. I like the design, it's cute but not childish and I like the color purple as well. At 30 dollars it's surprisingly a good deal and I think we have a winner here.
