Does the Bowflex Max Trainer Really Work?

Rate this post

It’s getting close to that time of the year again where everybody wants to start getting fit so they are going to look great in the summer attire. To help with this you may want to take a look at the new Bowflex Max Trainer.

Overview
The all new Bowflex Max Trainer is the newest member of the venerable Bowflex family and is a little different than the traditional BowFlex we have seen in the past.

The Claim
The claim by the company is of course that the new Bowflex Max Trainer will give you the absolute best work out that money can buy and burn calories faster and more efficiently than any other work out product on the market pretty much like every other work out product on the market today!

The Hype
Much of the hype attached to the Bowflex Max Trainer is realized by the brand name attached to it. Bowflex has been making and selling quality work out products for some time and is recognized as one of the leaders in the home gym market.

The Cost
The cost of the Bowflex Max Rrainer is $1,999.00 at the Bowflex website. While this may seem a tad steep when you really look at the quality of the unit it is really not that much after all. As well, Bowflex has made its reputation on building quality gear and when you compare the stuff they build to the competition there really is no comparison.

The Commitment
Most of the products we feature here on Does It Really Work.org require little to no commitment. The Bowflex Max Trainer , like any workout related gear requires that you actually perform the workouts the unit is intended for it to work as advertised. If you are committed to getting in shape then this unit may help, if you are not ready to make that commitment to yourself and to your health than no piece of equipment is going to help you get the results you desire.

Evaluation
If you looked at just the construction of the new Bowflex Max Trainer you would be absolutely blown away by the quality of the unit. It really is a work of art when it comes to work out equipment there is no doubt about that whatsoever. Does it do what it says it will do? Now, that is the question. Again, if you are committed to getting into shape you have to have the willpower to get on the machine and actually DO the workouts. Will the Max Trainer give you the work out required to burn massive amounts of calories in the shortest time possible? Yes, it will do that provided you put in the work. The state of the art system is designed to work out the entire body at the same time. Pitted against regular steppers and treadmills the Max Trainer was found to burn more than twice the amount of calories at the same rate of exertion because it combines the workouts of an elliptical AND a stepper in one as well as the resistance training of the upper body at the same time. The Bowflex Max Trainer read out shows you in real time the amount of calories that you are burning while you work out and that can be very motivating.

Final Bowflex Max Trainer Review

As a bonus, the Bowflex Max Trainer is also much smaller than the average treadmill and provides a much better overall work out when compared with all of the above mentioned work out products so really it is the only piece of kit you need if you want to get into shape. The unit is designed to give the user a full body work out in only 14 minutes of use when used properly and at the intervals they suggest so lack of time is no longer an excuse for those who want to get into shape but say they have no time.

Our Recommendation
Overall the concept and the science that has gone into the Bowflex Max Trainer make it one sweet machine and we suggest that if you really want to get into shape at home rather than going out to the gym then this unit might be the one for you. Remember though, if you want the results you have to put in the time. No machine will do the work for you and almost $2000 is a lot of money to spend on a unit that will only sit in the garage if you decide that you are not ready. However, if you ARE ready to get back into shape or want to stay there is probably no better machine on the planet to do it at home than the Max Trainer by Bowflex! Or you may want to take a look at the Boflex Home Gym.

What do you think? Does the Bowflex Max Trainer work or not?
