If it’s just as hard, or harder, to use the Half Time Drill Driver, then it wouldn’t make sense to spend money on it.
The Hype
In their ad, they show so many different things being built, they are trying to subconsciously say that you’ll be able to take on these sort of projects if you had your own Half Time Drill Driver. But the majority of people won’t finally build that shed out in the backyard, or fix a broken gutter. The truth is this will probably collect dust in the corner of your garage after you see how ineffective it is.
The Cost
It’s $36 if you order through the main site, and you’ll end up with 2 sets of the product. This is because they go with the popular but shady buy one get one free just pay shipping offer. There’s no real reason why you need two sets, and it lets you know that it costs them far less than $8 to manufacture the product. Or just get one set from Amazon for less than $10.
The Commitment
The only selling feature to the Half Time Drill Driver is that it saves you time and makes projects more easy for you. So if you use your tools a lot, this will actually be a time saver, but if you aren’t a handyman then you’ll probably not use these too often, and if you do you won’t be able to use them as easily as it appears.

The Half Time Drill Driver has taken a beating by those that have tried it. They say that it flat out doesn’t work the way it is shown, and is far too wobbly to get any work done with it. The overall consensus is that they had the right idea, but they didn’t execute it properly. It comes with too many flaws to work, and even those that consider themselves well-versed when using a drill could not get it to work like it’s shown in the ads.
Many products are like bad movies. they start off with a good concept but have you walking out of the theater halfway through. In this instance, the makers of Half Time Drill Driver blew it big time. Either they rushed through the R and D phase, or they hired cheap manufactures in developing Asian nations, whatever the cause the product they are selling does not live up to the claims made in its infomercials.
Our Recommendation
No matter if you’re an expert woodworker, or a weekend Mr. Fix-It Warrior, you can safely pass on getting a Half Time Drill Driver. It will not make your projects go any smoother, and because of its faulty construction, it will actually impede your progress and make things more difficult for you.

My daughters bought me this device as a gift, within 3 months I found the grub screws no longer were able to hold a) the collar, and b) the drill bit, so I can no longer use it effectively. Plus when I was able to use it the collar did not fit snugly enough to make the device rock solid, therefore it would be wobbling whilst you were drilling or screwing. Not enough thought has gone into the manufacture to make it customer friendly, thus the numerous BAD reviews.
Received for anniversary from my tool gadget loving wife which is the only good part of this story. I guess I should say it actually is a good idea. Poorly engineered and manufactured to the point it may prove to be unsafe. Anything with multiple sharp edges spinning at hundreds of RPM must have solid, secure and rigid support at all joints. This item falls way short so if you need such a device I recommend looking where you can look, touch & feel to make sure it will properly do the job.
Thought this would be fantastic for me as I have bad arthritis in my hands, unfortunately to good to be true really hard to get bits in and does not turn properly to switch from one to the other, very badly made uneven rough edges would be fantastic if it was made properly and did what it said.

Half Time drill driver - great idea but poor quality and disappointing product. I ordered one and was optimistic that I had ordered a neat little gadget but was sadly shocked at the poor quality of the product that made it impossible to operate. The problems are many. First it does not rotate concentrically which is due to the poor machining of the parts. Inserting the drill and/or screwdriver bits is difficult as it is basically an externally threaded part with roughly hand cut slots into which you are trying to insert a hexagonal part. The whole product is doomed to fail because of the additional length and a small deviation in any of the component parts causes it to run eccentrically. I did try and return the product and emailed the supplier but to no effect. Lesson learnt. BUYER BEWARE!

Humor aside, I am glad I checked out this review, de device does look awkward.
I have my own solution to the problem - have two drill guns at the work site, using an extension cord that accepts more than one plug. I was hoping this Half-Time tool would eliminate that, and I'm glad to see this site that tells me not to bother with it.
This product reminds me of the dremmel. You know, the file set that is not used in nail salons all over the U.S.? At least they found a use for that! This is a very weak little piece of equipment and I only used it to hang a picture. It is not very stable, and you need to actually work a lot harder to get it not to get an extra hole you didn't want. The claim that this thing can handle so many different projects is a bit nervy. You wont be actually building anything with it. I would say maybe a minor repair like say if a piece of furniture separated and you had to put a table leg back on this would work.
