We have reviewed a few tool kits in the past but this Makita XT610 LXT Cordless 6 Piece Combo Tool Kit is simply a great gift idea for the home handyman that we could not pass up giving this one some attention at the Christmas season. The combo has a great variable speed Hammer Drill, and very light and easy to use 6.5 inch circular saw (which is fabulous for doing fence boards and the like easily and with added portability due to the cordless nature!) a reciprocating saw that can cut in very tight spaces and can be used for a wide variety of things that a regular saw cannot reach, an Angle Grinder for special jobs that require some grinding, a fantastic and powerful Impact Driver that you find you most likely use the most and a wickedly powerful flashlight that comes in handy when the light is bad or the sun starts to go down and the job is unfinished! All units are powered by the all-new 18 volt Lithium Ion batteries that hold a good charge for hours of work, there are two included so that you always have one on the included charger and one in the unit you are using at the time!
This Makita XT610 LXT Cordless 6 Piece Combo Tool Kit is absolutely
top notch for those who like to DIY. There are more professional kits with a much larger price tag than the Makita kit but they are really un-necessary for most jobs around the home. This unit will outperform anything in the same price range easily. A great Christmas present that will not break the bank and will provide years of useful service!
