If you’re looking for a simple way to cover up your hair loss, Toppik might be just the thing for you. While it doesn’t do much to treat the cause of the problem, it appears to provide a cosmetic treatment that covers up the appearance of having thinning hair. If you watch the official video on their website, it’s almost like watching a magician turn a nearly bald guy into a guy with a full head of hair. It’s also been featured on Good Morning America and has gotten quite the buzz because it can be used by both men and women.

What It Is and What It Isn’t
Toppik is not a cure for thinning hair, nor does it treat your actual problem in any way. This is purely a cosmetic fix, for appearances only. In fact, it could end up contributing to your problem, as it acts to smother your scalp, prevent it from breathing, and potentially build up on your scalp.

You will continue to lose your hair, or have it thin out even more by using this product. It can be used in conjunction with other hair loss treatments that are designed to block your DHT, or cleanse your scalp, or products with minoxidil so you can see some regrowth as well. This would make it so your hair looks good during the process of growing it back, or at least stopping it from falling out.

It comes in a shaker bottle, and you simple dust it onto your head in the areas that need it, until you reach the desired look. After applying it you can lightly comb your hair into the style that you like and be on your way.

What People are Saying
It’s not too hard to fake reviews at certain sites, and this product seems to have an unusually high number of boisterous reviews, leading some to question their validity. It’s true that a product of this nature is bound to have its share of negative reviews, either from people that didn’t feel it lived up to their expectations, or those that didn’t use it correctly. Also, there would be reviews from people that couldn’t find the right shade to match their hair color properly enough to pull off the hoax.

Toppik can be a good way to get your looks back, but should be used in conjunction with other hair loss products so that you get the best of both worlds. It is not a solution to hair loss per se, but a solution to how your hair looks when it’s thin or balding.
