If you own a garden hose you probably have your fair share of complaints with it. First, it’s heavy, and can be a struggle just trying to get it where you want it to go. They say the 50 foot model only weighs one pound. That’s a pretty amazing claim, since a regular 50 foot hose will way just about a ton, and is so bulky and awkward it can almost be dangerous.
The Hype
When you see this, you’ll want one. That’s all the hype it needs. It makes so much sense that you just can’t help wondering if it could actually work the way it is shown to on the ads. If it works this will be the sort of hose everyone eventually has. It’s a killer app, and makes old style hoses seem a little silly.

This should save your back from having to lift and lug around your current hose. You can happily replace it with this new hose and never have to worry about it ever again. If you use the Snap 2-O with it you should have virtually no complaints with your hose or the attachments ever again.
Evaluation
The way the XHOSE expands when you’re ready to use it, and contracts when you’re done with it is ingenious. When you throw in the fact that it’s lightweight and doesn’t kink up, this is destined to be a winner. They show the 75 foot version being stored in a decorative flower pot. What a great way to store you hose rather than any other storage method used for traditional garden hoses.
They say it has a powerful spray because it expands to a wider diameter than most hoses. And when it contracts it saves so much space. For example, the 25 foot hose gets down to just 9 feet. And the 100 foot hose shrinks to just 37 feet, less than half its size. This means that you’re getting nearly three times the reach, and without being so heavy and unmanageable. Could you imagine trying to use an ordinary 100 foot garden hose? Good luck trying to get that stored away.

Tried it. Didn't work. Living West Texas we have goathead thorns all through the lawn. This thing snagged first trip out of the package and sprung leaks. The cloth-like material might be well suited in an urban environment, but in the real world, it is little more than dumpster fill. I went to return it and the company I bought it from just gave me a refund. It is worthless
The x hose is awesome in concept. But not very sturdy. If you bend it under full pressure they will burst. Had two Pro hoses burst. Had to send 9.95 to the company to ship me a new one on their 100% guarantee and ship back the old one. Cost me about $20 in total. I'm going to try the Tuff Guard hose next time.
NO, the black one is a bigger piece of junk that the first one's. Had it 4 months and the warranty is 3 months. NO refunds! JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. holes burst in both of them. And I never left water in them, I didn't leave them outside.
VERY DISAPPOINTING. I bought 2 50ft X-Hose, the first one burst half way thru the summer, the second one burst today. After the first one bust I called and was told the 90 day guarantee had expired, but they were going to send another one this time only any way, which they did. The second one burst today and I am not going to call anymore. So neither lasted one full season. And I followed all the instructions, kept them out of the sun, etc. Good thing I kept my old conventional hoses. .......but the concept is so great I might try another brand.
Bought the hose at Walmart. the first week of June. Really liked it. went to use it today, it blew up!!!! The tube inside and the covering on the outside blew. My husband was able to pull the covering apart in several different places. It was as if the covering had rotted. and the tube busted. Total waste of $20.00
Bought two 25 footers at Wally Mart for about twenty six bucks. Brought it home, used it, am in love with it. Shrinks to a circle around three feet, great pressure. Whoever came up with this idea is going to be a millionaire!
Take a look at the Amazon ratings for the Xhose and other collapsible hose brands. The reviews almost unanimously report cracked connectors, leaks, and exploding hoses. There is a new Xhose out, the Xhose Pro, which claims to have stronger hose material and brass connectors. I really like the idea of these lightweight collapsible hoses, so I am checking that one out. But I would definitely give these cheaper models a pass.

I bought 2 of these Xhose about 3 weeks ago.
Now one of them is bursted. The inside hose must be made of flimsy stuff.
I am trying to see if I can get a replacement for it. It should still be under warranty.
I would not recommend this to anyone.
Ok so I bought the x-House 3 weeks ago. It took 2 weeks to arrive. I was in a bit of a hurry so I wasn't happy about that. Once it arrive I noticed that it was alot smaller than expected. When I hooked it up and turned it on it expanded to 23 feet which was 2 feet shorter than advertised. I have very low water pressure in my neighborhood so this could be why.... I'm happy with it though and the xhose does work as on tv.
