Are You Going to Be Free From Buggy Beds With BuggyBeds Traps?

0/5 - (1 vote)

BuggyBeds are bed bug monitoring traps that are supposed to alert you to the presence of bed bugs before they have a chance to infest your home. You are required to put the traps in place, and then check them from time to time to see if there’s anything in them. Since bed bugs can be hard to find due to their nocturnal nature, this would give you a round the clock way of detecting them. But how well do they really work?

What Are Bedbugs?

Imagine little small, brownish oval insects crawling around on you while you are in bed sleeping. As disgusting as it sounds, bedbugs infestations can happen very easily. These little creatures can be brought into your home on used beds, couches, luggage, clothing, and many other items. Many hotels and motels have bedbug problems. So as you can see, these little insects can hide almost anywhere. Bedbugs survive on the blood of animals and humans.

About Bedbugs

Bedbugs are insects that move very fast across walls, ceilings, and floors, however, they do not fly. Female bedbugs have the ability to lay hundreds of eggs over their lifetime. These little eggs look like tiny specks of dust. Nymphs, which are bedbugs that have not yet reached maturity, require human or animal blood five times before they reach maturity. This can happen within a month’s time period. Female bedbugs have the ability to produce over three generations each year. Quite typically bedbugs hide in beds, bed frames, mattresses, headboards and box springs. Bedbugs can easily move throughout the bedroom and to other areas in the home. Quite often apartment buildings reach a point of infestation as these little creatures can travel from apartment to apartment.

When Do Bedbugs bite?

Bedbugs are nocturnal so they are most active at night. Typically they bite people at night while they are sleeping. The bugs pierce the skin and feed for up to 10 minutes on blood. People don’t feel the bites at first, but afterward, these tiny little bites turn into red itchy welts. Bedbugs will bite any area of exposed skin while you are sleeping.

“After we had a professional exterminator for my bedroom that was infested with bed bugs, he suggested that we buy BuggyBeds to monitor for bed bugs before we developed another infestation. I could not believe ONLY a week after the extermination, we had a bed bug in one of our traps. We immediately called the exterminator back. BuggyBeds saved us thousands of dollars by detecting a bug before we had another infestation again! I now use the BuggyBeds trap everywhere my family goes so we can detect if we bring them home!”

  • Absolutely WORTHLESS!!!

Do not waste your time or $!!!

This is the most useless product I've been duped into purchasing!

Had an extremely severe infestation of bed bugs and used the BeddyBugs as directed and after 6 weeks only 1 bug had even found the trap!!!

I showed the trap to my property manager and she said that several other tenants had said the same thing.

    Useless, useless, useless!

  • Eric and Elaine must work for this company because this crap does not work. Don't waste your time or money. If you wanna get rid of them use Ortho sprays and diatamacious earth on the mattress, and place inside of plastic mattress cover with zipper. Treat the box spring and rails, cracks, crevice, and carpet. Dry all clothes in dryer to kill any living in clothing, Every night before bed, spray your entire top mattress with 91% alcohol. Treat bed once a week. Spray alcohol every night. Vacuum daily. To kill the itch, take an empty water bottle and fill with hot water (sink hot, not boiling) and place on bite area for 15 seconds. To avoid bites rub body down with Vics vaporub or tea tree oil. Thank me later.

  • They don't work at all. Such crooks. We tried them in some of our apartments and one had infestation and going to be a week before exterminator could come out. So we set 12 of these up near a heavy infestation. Two of them near the nest. Out of 12 traps after being in that aparttfor 11 days not one dam bedbug got trapped. Talked to exterminator about these traps and he said that all these types of trapping and baiting are scams just like a snakeoilsman crooks waste of time money and space. Should be put out of business and forced to pay consumers back plus interest.

  • I have tried the Buggy Beds Bed Bug traps and I can honestly say these things are amazing! I check them every hour or two and I have more each time. I have them in my recliner. I just ordered more to put other places I have spotted a bug. I highly recommend these to anyone.

  • I am disappointed with this website. It asks whether these bed bug detectors work, but it doesn't actually test them. It blandly assures us they attract bedbugs, but how do they know? I call bullshit, especially in light of the other comments.

  • Caught some bedbugs in these about a year ago at an old apartment building I used to live at in Florida. I remember seeing the product on Shark Tank and that was what originally made me buy it as I was traveling a lot at the time. Anyways, my landlord reimbursed me the fees for the exterminator cost and I was able to use the BuggyBeds again after he was done exterminating. Coming from someone who has had bedbugs it's worth it to use these traps imo.

  • We definitely had a bed bug problem - caught the buggers and saw their evidence all over, but not a single one was trapped in the buggy beds! Like Kat said, call the exterminator right away if you suspect a problem. Don't wait on these things to alert you.

  • I have never had bed bugs,(knock on wood). I have watched on the news that bed bugs are taking over hotels and homes and they are literally the hardest thing to get rid of. I don't know if buggy beds work, but I would definitely try it if I had this problem. They not only can take over your home in no time at all, but they bite you and your family while you sleep.

  • I have an apartment building in Central Los Angeles it is infested with bedbugs.
I've placed buggy beds in units that were profusely infested. Buggy beds did not work even when I placed a buggy bed in a shoe box full of bedbugs I caught none in the trap.
