Bought this gallon flex seal for cracked foundation; flex seal does what it says.
I applied as recommended and haven’t had to mop the floor since; already received five inches of rain in less than 48 hours and no problem.
I have tried to stop a leak several times. It doesn't work. Leaks just as bad as before I even used it.
Flex doen't work brought sealant and tape could not stop leak in a water hose.. Waste of money and time. If you don't believe buy some but don't get angry went you are disappointed.
Flex Seal is an advertising genius and that's it. I went ahead and bought 2 gallons for a project coming up 2 months later. I asked if Flex Seal would stick to EPDM, the salesgirl said no. She told me a supervisor would call, he did but he said oh yes it will stick. Umm, right before applying it I called and checked one again after hearing from an EPDM dealer who disagreed with the supervisor. The exact same routine, girl has supervisor call, one does and says yes it works. I cleaned everything very well, applied it and 30 days later it started peeling. Yes it all came off, yes it does not stick to epdm, yes Flex Seal would not refund money in the 1st gallon or return the unopened 2nd gallon because it was 10 days past the 60 day return policy. Scam Artist okay, I'll find something it'll work on ..
Right again, it came off wood in 5 months, used it to seal lights on the boat trailer which lasted until the end of summer. Great Advertising but there's many other reputable rubber products. Fool me once?
Lot a damage
Im currently attempting to use the newest product "Flex Tape" from the same company that makes Flex Seal to fix a corrosion made hole in the chrome trap under my bathroom sink. I chose this specific version of their product line bc it specifically says it works whether the surface is wet or dry, & the sink also leaks so even with the water off, i cant get the pipe dry. So, i patch it w/ a square cut piece. The instructions say to get out any air bubbles, which i quickly realized was impossible with this product on a rounded surface. So i cut more pieces, thinner, rectangular shaped & used to patch overlapping the ends of the 1st piece. Still dripping. I did this repeatedly, approx 5 separate times, going over the same area, using about 1/2 the roll b4 just now realizing this will not work. Im gonna break out the caulk & just go over this entire blob of a cast looking mess. Ii don't know anything about plumbing and i rent this apartment. But my landlord has never come to fix anything here. Hallway lights flicker like a horror movie, my living room ceiling fan instantly sparks & trips the breaker every time i turn it on, my toilets bn running since i moved in, etc... So this is pretty much up to me & i have no idea what to do. So, idk, keep this in mind if it applies b4 purchasing this product ($12-15 @ Walmart)
As a Garden railroader, I bought flex seal to waterproof my buildings. Paint was peeling off of them. Knowing that this stuff is paintable, I sprayed this stuff as a primer. Waited a day for it to cure just to be safe.it was dry. I also bought flex tape to fix a leak in my pond. So far I haven't lost any water.
I have an aluminum roof on an add-on patio. The roof has 4 seams - last year the seams started leaking so I first used the paint and really got in the seams thoroughly. That worked for a while but a few months later the seams started leaking again. This time I used the spray. That didn't work at all. Total waste of money. So, doesn't work on aluminum is my take away on this.
I have a plastic canoe with a very small crack in it. I have just applied a coat on the inside and the outside of the canoe. Hoping this will work. Has anyone used it for Canoe fixing? thanks!
I Bought To Seal A Pin Size Hole In My Shower Hose. DID NOT WORK. DOES NOT WORK IN WATER. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
