Does Pocket Jump Work?Pocket Jump is probably something you may have wanted to have at the start of the winter, but it may still prove to be valuable for you now through the wet spring and hot summer.

If you have ever had your car stall then you know what a hassle it can be to get it started. Pulling out those jumper cables and hooking them up to the battery is no easy task. Then you need to hope that there is another vehicle around to give your car the boost it needs to get it started. This may no longer be an issue if you have Pocket Jump ready to use. This is a device that you simply plug into the vehicle’s 12 volt outlet, then be patient for ten to fifteen minutes while the battery recharges.

The Claim
The company claims that Pocket Jump replaces the need for jumper cables. They are indicating that once their product is plugged into the 12 volt source of your vehicle it will take no longer than 10 to 15 minutes to boost the car and get it running again. They even indicate that the Pocket Jump works well in bad weather conditions. It is safe to carry, and is so compact you can keep it in the glove box of your car when not in use.

The Hype
The simplicity of using this product is what is going to grab the attention of many vehicle owners. Often when a stall occurs in a vehicle the weather is nasty. It can be raining or snowing. Getting out and having to hook up booster cables when its like this is not pleasant. You don’t even have to get out of the vehicle to use the Pocket Jump. You just need to plug the easy to use device into your 12 volt supply.

The Cost
The cost of Pocket Jump is $19.99 plus $7.99 shipping fees. If you add an extra $9.99 to your order you will get a second one.

The Commitment
Chances are you may buy this product for an emergency car start which doesn’t happen all that often. You put it in the glove compartment of your vehicle and then perhaps forget about it. Or forget to tell others that it s there.

Pocket Jump appears to be an exciting product. For those that are not aware that there are other devices similar to this it may seem like a new solution to a nasty problem. We did some research just to find out in general how well these devices perform. It is surprising to discover there are several different types of the market. The smaller the better with any device in general is becoming the trend. So it is easy to see why these compact car boosters are gaining in popularity. Some of the models have to be recharged themselves in order to perform. The Pocket Jump is being promoted as being able to do this. It is just a matter of reversing the switch so it can re-charge itself, and it comes with the adapter.

Final Pocket Jump Review

We’re going to give the Pocket Jump a Try/buy rating. Price wise it fits into the mid range of what this type of product sells for which is $20 to $50. It may not be as compact as some of the other versions out there, but as long as it can be tucked away conveniently and most importantly that it works, then it is acceptable.

Our Recommendation
Remember one thing. It takes time for any of these jumpers to work. When you are getting a boost in the traditional manner using jumper cables it usually takes no more than a few minutes. Sitting in a cold car for 15 minutes waiting for the Pocket Jump to work is not going to be pleasant either. Then you also have to consider that a lot of times you have to wait for a tow truck anyway, or for someone to be around to give the car a boost anyway.

What do you think? Does Pocket Jump work or not?
