Do EZ Covers Really Work?
Does it realy work?

Do EZ Covers work?EZ Covers are a way to reupholster your dining room table chairs without having to get them professionally done, or spend a lot of time on them. You are supposed to be able to pop on the new covers because they stretch to fit, and then snap back so they stay in place. Because of how often they get used, dining room table chairs seem to take a big beating, so it would be nice if these work so you could quickly cover up a stained chair seat, and have something that’s easily washable. Let’s take a closer look.

They say there’s no place like home, and when it comes to the home there’s no place like the kitchen and dining room, where a lot of family interaction happens. Any time you get one of those high traffic areas there’s always going to be messes, spills, and mishaps. It’s just part of normal family life. The only problem is that replacing chair covers can be a pain, and something that you aren’t looking forward to. This creates just the scenario for a company to come in and offer a better alternative.

The Claim
EZ Covers claims that in just 5 minutes you can cover up your torn or stained chair covers and have a brand new look. They’ve got an assortment of colors to choose from so that you can coordinate them with your dining room decor, or at least a tablecloth. They say you won’t have to bother about cutting or stapling new covers onto the chairs, because they have a stretchable fabric that makes it easy to wrap around the chair like Saran wrap.

The Hype
Most people don’t pay a lot of attention to the condition of their dining room chairs, until they see a commercial like this one that makes them remember the tear or the stains on them and then you start to wonder if it really could work that easily. These ads are great at taking seemingly small problems and making their product seem like a lifesaver. If it works as depicted this would actually be a great buy, but as they say, the proof is in the real world feedback.

The Cost
It’s $34 for set of 6 EZ Covers. They won’t let you get the 4 for $27, and you’re forced to get the two “bonus” ones. The FTC is cracking down on the terminology companies can use when they offer free bonuses like this, because often there is an asterisk after the offer and then it is explained below that you have to pay a shipping fee of anywhere from $6 to $8 or more. In this case that’s how they take the advertised price of $19.99 and turn it into nearly $34 when it’s all said and done.

The Commitment
They say that this is very easy to install, and that no matter what kind of chairs you have and what shape they are you’ll be able to quickly re-cover them and be all set. Once the covers are on there’s not much left for you to do, and they should stay in place and not even need any readjusting. Of course it’s up to you how often you want to take them off and put them in the washing machine.

If you’ve got a family that tends to make messes, you’ve probably been on the lookout for something like EZ Covers for some time now. It can be embarrassing to have company come over and have them see your heavily stained dining room chairs. But there’s only so much you can do when a stain won’t come out.

Final EZ Covers Review

It’s not too hard to get chair covers right, and EZ Covers seems to have pulled it off. The fabric they use is stretchy, yet durable, and most users say that it washes and goes back on without a problem. The only real concern seems to be that it there might be some chairs out there that are more stubborn than others as far as taking off the cushion goes. In all likelihood if your chairs have cushions they will be able to be refitted with these.

Our Recommendation
Unless you have really zany dining room chairs, you should be all set with this. You might want to check and see how hard it is to pop the cushions off of your chairs before you order. You wouldn’t want to get these and get as far as trying to install them only to realize they don’t fit your specific chairs. Even though they say it can fit any chair, you know that’s not going to be the case all the time so just check your chairs out and see if you can imagine successfully using this on them.

What do you think? Does EZ Covers work or not?

On week too late… I threw out some old chairs that were part of a dining table set I used to have. They were perfect spares for large family parties when we had many people over, but eventually they got too dirty I had to throw them out. I don’t have use for this for any old chairs, but I think it will be a good idea to use on the new ones. I bought a new set not long ago and having this on as a protective layer would allow me to use the chairs for a lot longer and cleaner too.
