Plexus Slim is a weight loss supplement and a business opportunity all rolled into one. Many health products are sold this way, and it’s either something that you will appreciate because it’s like having your own consultant when you buy the product, or it’s something you will shy away from because you just want to click the Order Now button but you can’t. So let’s see what all this entails, and whether or not you should try their products, or get involved with this with your own business.
Overview
In this economy, we’re all looking for ways to get ahead, and network marketing might sound appealing to you. They claim that it is a business model that thrives in a down economy. It’s true enough that people always want to lose weight, no matter what the economy is doing. But you have to ask yourself if this is the best use of your time and resources, or whether a different business would better serve your unique talents and interests. And as far as taking this product to lose weight, you have to size it up against other diet products on the market and see how it compares.
The Claim
Plexus Slim claims that their products offer a safe way for you to lose weight. They also state that they can help you regular your blood sugar levels, and also help to keep your blood pressure at a healthy level. They further claim that it helps you get your cholesterol levels to a good place, and that it does this without using any stimulants like caffeine, without replacing any of your meals, and without using shakes. They say that it’s fast and easy, which saves time and allows you to finally get a handle on your weight loss efforts.
For their business opportunity, they claim that there is almost no risk involved with getting started, that it’s a low-cost way to start your own business, that it offers the chance at residual income, the flexibility to work your own hours, the ability to train and motivate others, and can even offer tax benefits that come with owning and running your own business.
The Hype
These sort of set ups always involve some hype to them, usually in the form of the affiliate or rep trying to get you excited about either taking the supplements or joining the business as a salesperson.
The Cost
Plexus Slim ranges in cost by which product you are interested in. A 30 day supply of the original formula is $85. If you want to combine that with their accelerator it’s $115. You can only order through a rep, and if you don’t have someone that referred you, they make you call customer service that will put you in touch with a rep in your area so that they can get the credit for the sale.
You can get started in the business for $135, which pays for a one year membership, a website you can send interested people to, and some products that you can use to show people what the actual product looks like.
The Commitment
With any weight loss program, you have to at least be committed to take the product as directed, and following through with any extra instructions they give you, such as eating sensibly and exercising regularly. Aside from that they say this is a fast and easy way to lose weight, and their process includes both a pill and a powder that you would need to consume, so it seems like it is pretty low on the commitment meter.
As far as the business side goes, you typically get what you put in, and there are no two people that would run a business the same way. One person might look at their area and think that there’s no one to sell to, while the next person looks at the same area and sees a lot of opportunity. Probably the best bet would be to document yourself taking this and losing weight with it, and then sharing your story as a way to convince others to take it. Before and after pictures usually work the best for things like this.
Evaluation
The Plexus Slim system has been shown to be effective in a least a few individuals. It’s almost impossible to get any accurate data from a reliable third party, because almost everyone you see telling you that it works will be trying to sell you on it. It’s something that you’d have to try yourself if you want to get to the bottom of it, but it’s up to you whether you want to get involved with it or not. There are plenty of other weight loss products out there that aren’t involved with a network marketing model, and allow you to simply by their product online without having to go through an individual.
Final Plexus Slim Review
Plexus Slim has a streamlined system in place. Their packaging is good, their webpage looks sharp, and there are people making money with it. As far as it being an effective weight loss system, it probably is, but at the price point it goes for you could be having success with a different product and avoid the whole MLM scheme going on.
Our Recommendation
Unless you’re thinking of joining this as a business opportunity, we’d say pass on getting the products. There are simply too many other choices out there for you that provide less hassle, and are peer reviewed to work. However, if you are going to embrace this as a business, we recommend trying it out, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose and have tried several other diet products, and have been trying to lose weight for years. This is the kind of story that engages others and gets them on board with you.
You are suppose to change your bad eating habbits and exercise on this program… well there you go, that in itself is what helps you! I tried Plexus and saw no difference in anything at all.
Plexus doesnt wrok unless you change eating habbit and exercise. I’ve been on it for 6 month and havent lost a single lbs. It might help others as a tool to change those habbits but its not a miricle weight loss product.
Many of the Homeopathic h – CG solutions contain no h
– CG at all. This is the opposite of other programs, in which
ads must specify “results not typical. Program focus is on all round change in life-style as opposed to a short term eating plan modification.
I became a distributor back in 2009. I did the deal and it is just what everyone above has founded out it is a scam! The power of MLM is what it is about. The guys that sold the cell phone, gas savers, and etc. jumped all over this.
I fished in and did the product for 3 months of course, That made my wallet about $350(give or take a few dollars) leaner. I didn’t lose weight anywhere else.
It’s not a meal replacement. It’s a drink that you have once a day, 30 mins before a meal, that helps curb hunger and helps with sweet cravings. The best part for me has nothing to do with weight loss. I have lots more energy!
As other weight loss products this is just another one to fall on the bandwagon. Side effects to many of these ingredients are high blood pressure, increased heart rate, high risk of stroke because it amps up your body to burn fat/ calories Sure it works for some people but if I drank a powdered drink for 2 meals etc I would lose weight as well. Everyone in this world wants to improve how they look so any product is appealing.
Okay – For anyone wondering about any of it….read Rip Off Report on the web. The guys running this used to sell cell phones and then moved on to this!
It’s just a protein drink that you can buy much more cheaper…read the fine print on the amount of money you make…not worth making this pyramid scheme of top dogs richer!!!
Do not do business with them!
I’m very intrigued by this product. First off, I need to lose weight. Secondly, I can use the extra cash if it works out on the business end of it as well. I got lots of co-workers and friends who are desperate to shed some extra pounds and as long as this works as advertised it can be a great business. The best thing to do would be to try it out myself and if it works, I could recommend it and sell it to those who want to lose weight. I read some good reviews about this product and only a handful of negative reviews. I’m sold.
Hmm… the other health benefits they mention are more enticing to me than weight loss. Not that I couldn’t stand to lose a few pounds, but I’m more worried about my blood sugar as I have a lot of incidents of diabetes in my family. Is there anywhere that they go into more details as to how it does all these things? I’m not really interested in MLM businesses, but if it’s really that much of a health boost I’d still want to try it out.
