Does the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub Really Work?

Does it realy work?

Does the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub Work?Recently there has been a lot of news coverage about the potential dangers that come with cleaning the grills of your barbecues with wire brushes. It seems that small pieces of the wire can break off then embed in the food being cooked and consumed which leads to some dangerous health issues. This product may be a good replacement.

Overview
The Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub is similar to a pumice stone and is a scrubbing block that you can use as an alternative for cleaning grills, griddles and oven trays to help removed the baked on debris that always end up on these.

The Claim
The promoters claim that the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub is a green product that contains no harmful ingredients, and has anti bacterial properties to it.

The Hype
The fact that the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub is a green product and may work well to replace some of the wire brush cleaners that are not posing a danger is all the hype that is really needed.

The Cost
The cost for the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub is $5.72.

The Commitment
There is not going to be any greater commitment when using the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub then there would be with any other device or product that you would use to clean your grill.

Evaluation
Based on the recent information that has been available through the media about the potential danger that the steel type brushes for cleaning your grill poses we really feel that people need an alternative. There have been several cases where those that have used the steel brush have ended up with food products where a piece of the steel has become embedded. Some of these individuals or others ate this food and ended up in the Hospital with some serious medical problems.

Final Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub Review

While we really wanted to find an alternative to the wire brush we also wanted to make sure that what we suggested would work. The reviews it has been getting are really quite good and most are saying that it works really well even when other products they have used have not been effective. It seems the biggest draw back is the longevity of the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub. Apparently as you use the stone grooves form in it because it is wearing down. Some suggest rotating the stone as you use it to avoid the deep grooves. Whether it is worth the money is really going to depend on how often you clean the grill. If you clean it each time you use it which you really should then you are going to go through these stones pretty fast. You may be able to compromise though. First clean your grill with the aluminum foil method which is basically cleaning the grill while its hot which some say works quite well. Then periodically give it a deeper cleaning with the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub. Based on what we have learned about the product we will give it a Try/Buy.

Our Recommendation
Perhaps another alternative to not having to clean your grill would be to use a grill mat.
