Recently there has been a lot of news coverage about the potential dangers that come with cleaning the grills of your barbecues with wire brushes. It seems that small pieces of the wire can break off then embed in the food being cooked and consumed which leads to some dangerous health issues. This product may be a good replacement.

Final Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub Review
While we really wanted to find an alternative to the wire brush we also wanted to make sure that what we suggested would work. The reviews it has been getting are really quite good and most are saying that it works really well even when other products they have used have not been effective. It seems the biggest draw back is the longevity of the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub. Apparently as you use the stone grooves form in it because it is wearing down. Some suggest rotating the stone as you use it to avoid the deep grooves. Whether it is worth the money is really going to depend on how often you clean the grill. If you clean it each time you use it which you really should then you are going to go through these stones pretty fast. You may be able to compromise though. First clean your grill with the aluminum foil method which is basically cleaning the grill while its hot which some say works quite well. Then periodically give it a deeper cleaning with the Compac’s Magic Stone Grill Cleaner Scrub. Based on what we have learned about the product we will give it a Try/Buy.
Our Recommendation
Perhaps another alternative to not having to clean your grill would be to use a grill mat.
