There is a lot of cookware on the market to choose from. But, a lot of people are always looking for new and improved versions. One of the latest on the market is the Graniterock Cookware.
Overview
The Graniterock Cookware is made of a triple layer of food grade granite. This is a component that withstands aging and doesn’t warp as a result of high heat. It is the natural mineral coating that has been applied to the cookware that prevents the sticking.
The Claim
The promoters of the Graniterock Cookware are making many of the same claims that a lot of the other cookware manufacturers are. Which is that it is super thick, non-stick and scratch resistant. Often this is true for the first few times that the items are used, but these claims are short lived. This does not seem to be the case with Graniterock Cookware.
The Hype
The hype with the Graniterock Cookware is that not only does it perform well on the stove but does so in the oven as well. It can take up 500 degrees F. In the oven.
The Cost
As one can imagine the Graniterock Cookware is not cheap. For a twenty piece set, you can expect to pay about $150. But, really this is a small price to pay for good quality cookware.
The Commitment
The commitment that comes with the Graniterock Cookware is really to give it reasonable care. Even though it is scratch resistant, it still does well to use the proper utensils with it. Also proper storing can be a big help.
Evaluation
Having personally used several different pieces of the Graniterock Cookware I am quite impressed with it. I started off by just buying one or two pieces that were frying pans. I was so impressed with the results that I soon went on to build my collection. Now I am making use of the pots as well. I have only had these for a few months but so far no complaints. However, I still use a small amount of oil in the frying pans. I don’t buy that the food without it is just going to slip out. To me, this is a marketing tactic. One of the reasons why this often doesn’t work is because many people are impatient and tend to cook on too high of a heat.
Final Graniterock Cookware Review
Making sure that I wasn’t the only one impressed with the Graniterock Cookware I wanted to see what others had to say about it. Out of 230 customer reviews it has received a 3.8-star rating, with 51% giving it a five star. What a lot of people are impressed with is the durability of this cookware. If you ignore some of the hype and access the positive aspects of this product, then you are more likely to enjoy it. Overall we are prepared to give it a thumbs up.
