Does the Ronco Ready Grill Work? Some people are just not able to use an outdoor barbecue for many different reasons. Now they too may be able to enjoy the taste of grilled food that is prepared indoors with the Ronco Ready Grill.

The Ronco Ready Grill is being promoted as an indoor easy to use grill. It is compact and takes up very little counter space. It doesn’t have to be preheated before use so it can be a real time saver. It uses infrared heat for cooking the food from the inside out.

The Claim
The promoters are claiming that it doesn’t require pre-heating and it uses 80% less hydro than a conventional oven. They are indicating that it cooks food without the grease and gives the food that grilled flavor. They are also saying that you don’t even have to defrost the food first. You just pop the food into the grill basket, then turn it on and the Ronco Ready Grill will give an alert when the food is done.

The Hype
There are a several features that the hype is concentrating on with this product. With no pre-heating it means it is faster for getting the food cooked. The kitchen doesn’t get heated up, and less hydro is being used. The food cooked appears to be healthier because it is not sitting in it’s own fat. Then cleanup is being promoted as being quick and easy as some of the components are dishwasher safe.

The Cost
You can count on making 3 payments of $33.33 plus a payment of $9.99 for shipping and handling. For a total of $109.98. The bonus offer is a 3 piece showtime knife set, but you are required to pay $9.99 shipping for this. You will also get a digital cookbook.

The Commitment
Like any other small appliance you are going to have to commit to using it. All too often we buy these types of products then use them for a few times and then bury then in the cupboard.

You need to get the right perception of barbecued food and grilled food. Barbecued food is usually cooked on a lower heat for a longer period of time and the food is smoked. Grilled foods are cooked at a much higher heat in a shorter period of time. You can accomplish both of these methods of cooking with a outdoor barbecue. With the Ronco Ready Grill you are only going to get grilled foods, which is okay for a lot of people.

Final Ronco Ready Grill Review

After looking at some reviews of the previous Ronco Ready Grills that were sold on Amazon, we are going to give this product a Try/Buy rating. However, in the marketing materials for the previous product it doesn’t focus on the infrared heating system. So perhaps this latest one that is being promoted through the TV offer is new and improved, although there is no indication of this. The one listed on Amazon out of 18 reviews received a 3 star rating, but there are several different sellers. This version also has an option for a steam basket which is not mentioned in the Ronco Ready Grill TV promo material. So there may be some differences.

Our Recommendation
There are some good features to this Ronco Ready Grill. One of the most important is that it takes up very little space. The other is that it is really easy to clean. One of the most popular indoor grills around was the George Foreman Grill. It is quite a bit bigger but comes in various sizes and is lower priced compared to the Ronco. When looking at the complaints with the Amazon version of the Ronco Ready Grill some of them were concerning the food drying out or not cooking evenly.

What do you think? Does the Ronco Ready Grill work or not?
