1. My mom used to use arnica when we lived in Mexico. She used it for cuts inflammation, bruises, etc. It was her miracle plant. When I started having sciatic nerve pain and knee pain I looked for something that would contain arnica. I bumped into Penetrex. This stuff is wonderful! It helped my knee as well as with my sciatic nerve pain. You have to be consistent and follow directions. You will not be disappointed! Arnica is the best ingredient for inflammation!!!

3. i have 2 knees that qualify for knee replacement but i’m too chicken and i feel too young (51) for surgery yet. near bone on bone w/ arthritis. was always disappointed after buying stuff to help. but took another chance on penetrex and was amazed that it worked so well. when i can’t stand to stand on my feet anymore because of the pain, i put penetrex on and it takes the pain from 7-8 to about a 4 in about 15 min. even though the pain is bad enough to cause a limp, i have to live very frugally so i usually try to save money by using it 1/day. lasts for about 2-4 hours. can get up and keep going, which is what we are all looking for. maybe it doesn’t work for everyone but w/ so many great reviews from so many people, it has to be pretty effective. so grateful for this product!

7. One of my recurring pain areas in my back is in an area I cannot reach at all (between the shoulder blades), if my husband is not available to rub it in, I have to use a rubber spatula to apply Penetrex to that spot so it doesn’t get massaged in at all. And it still works!
   Also, massaging in other types of pain relief creams or ointments NEVER had even close to the effectiveness that Penetrex does. So it’s really, REALLY not the massage that does it!

9. YES! I use it for multiple types of nerve & muscle pain and IT WORKS.
   I have sciatica, cubital tunnel syndrome, myofascial trigger points (muscle “knots”), and long-term lower back, leg, & foot pain due to a motion coordinated disorder and I have tried every pain cream/ointment that exists. Most of them did not help or only helped a little- Penetrex is like some kind of “miracle” cream. I know it sounds too good to be true, but in minutes after applying it my pain starts to subside.
   It was recommended to me by my best friend, who suffers from even more serious injuries/chronic pain issues than I do, and I was skeptical too…until I tried it. Now, I am NEVER without it.

10. I have sciatica, cubical tunnel syndrome, myofascial trigger points, and long term back, feet, and leg pain issues that are a result of being dyspraxic.
    I use penetrex and it works GREAT! I even rub it on my temples to help with tension headaches.
    It was recommended by my best friend, who has pain & numbness from permanent spinal cord injury, spinal stenosis, needing disc replacement/fusion surgery (has a permanent titanium plate in her neck) as well as from having cubical tunnel syndrome so bad she required surgery for it.
    I have tried every other kind of pain cream/ointment that exists and NOTHING even comes close to Penetrex’s effectiveness. It allowed me to stop taking opioid painkillers and now if I need any it’s strictly OTC.

11. I’ve used to stuff twice now. Will use it again.

    I messed my shoulder up painting the house a few months ago – one of those injuries one isn’t even aware of until a day or two later. Ache and discomfort arrived, and the next day I couldn’t raise my arm without wincing. In description it felt sort of as if rubber bands were being dragged over a jagged edge, catching and snapping loose. Everyday tasks like making the bed, putting on a shirt, even driving/shifting were new experiences in exquisite pain. Getting to sleep was difficult as simply trying to roll over was a chore. After another day or two I went to the store and purchased a sling and, on a whim, some Penetrex.

    The stuff didn’t provide any immediate relief whatsoever. It doesn’t even do what some of the popular heat rubs do; no sensation at all… but I used it per the directions, three or four times a day, and would wake up each day feeling less pain and with gained range of movement.

    It’s realized the sling played a role, but I never really stopped using the arm and wore the sling only when out and about; Letting the limb hang was painful in itself and holding it up was tiresome and made me look silly.

    At any rate… full, speedy recovery

    Skip ahead to this past week.

    I’ve been sitting behind a keyboard quite a bit lately – more so than usual – on a crummy office chair. I’m not sure what the diagnosis would have been had I went to the doctor, but from what I’ve read, sciatica and/or bursitis seem to fit. Same as with the shoulder – pain, this time at the hip and upper side of thigh – set in and progressively worsened.

    Walking was possible so long as no sudden stops or abrupt course corrections were called for… but they always are. Climbing steps proved a bit more difficult. If trying to carry or push something of only moderate heft, it just plain hurt. Let’s not even mention yard work. There were certain angles I’d have to avoid placing the leg at… and again, getting to sleep was hindered and pressing the clutch pedal made driving unpleasant.

    Just like before, Penetrex was used (second purchase; completely used the last on the shoulder)… and just like before, feeling fine after a few days.

    So…

    I’m not going to swear to anyone the stuff’s a miracle ointment that’ll treat any ailment… and even if it’s effectiveness were a bonafide fact, there would certainly still be limitations to what ailments it can treat.

    All I can say is that I’m sold on it.

    Give it a chance to do what it claims it does. One application isn’t enough.

14. For what it’s worth, I don’t believe a lot of what I see/read on the internet.

    Recently, at 58, carpal tunnel reared it’s ugly head and started effecting my right hand. I’m in a very physical line of work and stress my hands daily. I typically go through a pair of work gloves a month. Steel work.

    It got to the point that I would get zapped just reaching for something. There didn’t have to be any weight or stress behind it. I could lift an envelope and feel the electric shock in my arm.

    In looking for a way to take my hand with KT tape, I stumbled onto Penetrex. If it weren’t for the lengthy list of happy customers, I’d have passed it by.

    I will swear to God for you right now, the day I received it was the last day I ever felt that shock. No lie.

    Rubbed it into my wrists and hands daily, sometimes twice daily if I remembered. Realized after a week I hadn’t suffered an ‘attack’. Kept waiting. Nothing. So far, never again.

    I just logged on to purchase my second jar and thought I’d just chime in with the rest of the happy customers.

    Next I’m going to travel up my arms to my elbows and shoulders to see what effect it has on them as I fall apart approaching 60.

15. I have had debilitating sciatic pain for months and have been in agony while waiting to get an MRI referral. Been using a TENS unit, painkillers, muscle relaxers, a chiropractor and every lidocaine product on the market. On a whim I bought Penetrex at Walmart and without a doubt, this is the best product I have ever used. From the very first day I had significant relief and honestly, I was shocked. I had low expectations because I thought with it being all natural, it wouldn’t do anything. I am so thankful I found this product and plan to never be without it again. Had shoulder pain for years from a car wreck tried many products with no success saw penetrex at Wal-Mart several time but figured just another product that wouldn’t work also kind of expensive but the next time I was at Wal-Mart I decided what the heck I would give it a try. Best thing I have ever done pain is so far about nintey percent gone and I’m sure will disappear completely soon. What a relief after all these years. Thanks so much for such a great product.

18. I’m a 45 year old woman and have been suffering from agonizing pain for the past 25 years (car accident – both legs shred to pieces). Over the years I have developed especially in my left ankle severe arthritis and I have used anything and everything one could buy over the counter. Icy Hot, Biofreeze, Blue Emu…you name it, I used it. I even gave the CBD, which seems to be the latest “It-thing” a try, and it did absolutely “nothing” for me. I’m always on the search for pain relieving creams, oils, etc. and stumbled over Penetrex and gave it a try. What can I say……It works, it really does.
    It is the only thing that makes the pain go away. I use it 3-4 times a day and massage it in, needed or not, I put it on. I might have to say that massaging, stretching the effected area certainly helps but it would not, nor has it ever taken the pain away. I have done so with all the other products I have used over the years and it never gave me the results and relief that I get from using Penetrax. I give Penetrax 5 stars because for me it works and I haven’t been in so much pain which is a relief. Oh by the way they now also have the Roll-On which I prefer over the cream.

19. I have cortisone injections in my knee every 4 months, need a knee replacement due to severe osteoarthritis, I have tried almost everything for relief with limited success. I am in constant discomfort so thought I would give penetrex a go. Saturday I applied it every 3hours, Sunday I took my grandchildren to movie world and while I was not completely pain free, I was able to give them a good time. Just bought 3 more 4oz jars. My opinion is its good stuff!

22. I am using this product to cure golfer elbow from last one month. When I use it I feel about 90% pain/discomfort relief.
    When I stop using it and start some straightening exercise my forearm/elbow discomfort start again. Overall I recommand this product. You may give it a try too.

23. Can this help with tennis elbow ? I am having tennis elbow for about 4 yeras. I was going to electronic tretmans and similar staff, but in gym i still feel a pain while i train. Can this reduce pain and help me lift more weights ?

You might even find to learn there is NO scientific proof that DMSO works in double blind tests Secondly, Penetrex does NOT contain any DMSO. So where in the hell did you pull that information out of, Your Ass?

26. I used Penetrex and it works as well as a compounded prescription medication with Diclofenac and it just a little less expansive. I used it for my back pain and I also sometimes use straight DMSO which works well also. DMSO works well if you add a smashed aspirin in the solution before you apply it. Penetrex is pretty amazing for an over the counter pain remedy for me and I will continue to used it.

    Penetrex contains a natural compound, MSM, that’s used topically as a carrier agent. That’s how you can get topical compounds carried through the skin.
    We could prove that to ourselves in labs by applying some to our skin. After a bit you would taste something like oysters with some sulphur. Anyway, that’s how Penetrex penetrates.

31. I have been a Tiger Balm die hard for years…but recently it is not helping with sciatica…I started using Penetrex Sat., 18 Mar 2017…I have to say the results are much better than with Tiger Balm….I was really surprised….

I am on my third jar and I absolutely love this product, had surgery on my right shoulder and chronic inflammation in my left shoulder, was very painful to work out at the gym, since finding penetrex ,I’ve been using it as recommended and the pain in my shoulders has decreased immensely! 35. I have some sort of Bursitis pain in my left shoulder and saw this cream on amazon when i was purchasing a shoulder brace. I was up all night with pain dreading the work day to follow. Well I ordered this Penetrex with my brace to try it out before i put the brace on. So far I have not had to use the brace since this stuff as taken away my pain and I can actually get sleep at night now. This is a miracle cream if you ask me !

36. Someone who can relate. 3 neck fusions (c5-t1) over a period of 3 years (2010-2013) and I still live in chronic pain. Inflammation in my cervical spine and right arm shoulder and hand like nobody’s business. My right hand is my life, being a painter. I found this cream last December on Amazon and while it didn’t work right away, it has taken the edge off. Now there are days that are much worse than others especially when I am constantly using that arm. I have been faithful to this cream regardless. I live on 2 Aleve every night and I hope one day to kick those (although I’m not sure about that being reality due to the chronic pain) but this cream sure has helped.

    I bought Penetrex at Wal-Mart but only after a quick check of the reviews.
    I have mild diabetic neuropathy in my feet, it helps slightly for that but is magical for elbow pain and even my tmj pain.

I’m a long term sufferer & have found some success with this. Does it do everything it claims including walking my dog? Probably not, but I’ve called them & found them very helpful.

39. I broke my neck 10 years ago and have had multiple fusion surgeries and now suffer from pain due to chronic inflammation in my cervical spine. I have used penetrex three to four times a week for the last two years and I have to say give me some level of relief. Takes the edge off my pain and allows me to get moving again where I can work through that painful episodes.

40. I have golfer’s elbow. Not from golf, but badminton. This is a very common problem in competitive badminton.

    I use Penetrex as a massage gel – doing cross fiber massage to the flexor muscle group twice a day for about 5 minutes each massage. It works! but is it Penetrex or the massage?. Maybe both but using the two together about 75% of the pain and discomfort disappeared in about a week – not 100% better but well on the way.

41. I just got my cream on 5/20/16 and I can already see a difference. I have planter fascists in both feet with heel spurs. It’s definitely is helping with the inflammation. My heel isn’t as swollen.

42. I have chronic arthritis and you are right. Soak in a tub if you can and apply this stuff; it does work. It’s the only thing that has given me relief. Granted it did take almost the whole jar but to relieve this pain it was worth it.

44. I am 51 years old and was diagnosed with severe oesto-arthritus in my knee (developed after an old sports injury / meniscus tear). My Doctor finally recommended surgery when nothing I was trying worked. On a whim after reading Amazon reviews I decided to try Penetrex. 2 months later I can tell you I am happy with that decision. I started rubbing it in around my kneecap about 3 – 4 times per day and experienced almost immediate relief. After one week I was exercising again (low impact, bike & elliptical). The exercise helped even more. After two weeks I cancelled my pending surgery. Over the past month I have been exercising almost daily and playing golf again. I have no more swelling and have dropped Penetrex applications to twice per day (morning and night). Awesome product in my opinion. Best of all, no more limping around!!

45. many claim that it is just the massaging that helps and while i agree that massage is a help penetrex does work better than the creams that blister the skin and it beats taking oral pain relievers – using it for arthritis in my hands and and repetitive stress injuries in my legs -soak in a hot tub for 20 minutes, dry off and rub it in-it does work

49. This stuff did work great for my tendonitis in my elbow.
    However, it’s been proven that most things aren’t able to go through skin, like vitamins etc. and that they are pointless. Leading me to think how much of this actually gets through to help?
    My conclusion: NONE of it. I think the simple fact that you are literally massaging your problem area (3-4 times a day or whenever it hurts) is really the culprit here as to what is helping your pain.

50. I had a full knee replacement a year ago, and while I was in rehab I got plantar fasciitis in my left heel. What a mess! I Googled Penetrex, and saw claims that it helped not only that, but could be used on my knee as well. I bit the bullet and bought a jar. What a difference it made on my heel. I used it a couple of times a day for almost a month. I also got a gel insert for my shoe. Between the two of these, I got almost instant relief. Was so happy I bought another 2 jars and have been using this off and on for the last year. It also worked well on my knee area where the joint was replaced. Big difference on that as well. It’s been just a bit over a year for the replacement, and it’s time for another jar of the Penetrex. Don’t think I’m ever going to give this stuff up.

51. Even if they’re just ibuprofen or your regular aspirin, after 20 years of suffering with chronic pain I want to stop taking pain killers for good. I feel like I’m slowly killing my body by ingesting so much medicine and I feel so depressed every time I pop another pill for pain relief. I’m gonna trust your review as I always do and I tell you the amazon review doesn’t hurt either. I think I’ll finally be able to say goodbye to pain killers now. (Cross my fingers~).
